Clear Glasses in Full-Body Preview

So while testing the full-body preview function on Singularity, myself and a friend checked out my character, and discovered that the dark lenses of sunglasses disappear in full body preview, leaving my character looking like this.

Now I already bug-reported it, but as I said in the bug report, it actually looks pretty cool. Can we get clear-lensed glasses for nerdy characters like mine?

You know, those clear glasses DO look way better on your char than shades :).

I know, right? He looks like some kind of military engineer, and that's awesome Lol

This could be interesting; I imagine alot of avatars would look better with clear, 'traditional' glasses.

This game totally needs traditional glasses like that.

Clear glasses would make a GREAT cheap item (like 100 Aurum) in the NEX store (hint, hint).

This bug would be a great feature :D.

can i say, i am in favour of this bug becoming a feature! suspect its not that easy to do though...

Sometimes "Meh" is an acceptable response.

One thing that *absolutely* needs to be added with clear lens glasses is a pose for them... Well maybe a couple... Like glasses on the tip of the nose or on the head...

Glasses on the tip of the nose are the must-have look for professor-like character to give that iconic over-the-rim look a professor has when you're saying bullshit :D

I don't think it would be difficult at all - just take the existing model, alter the colour tint of the glasses to remove the dark colour, and make a new clothing entity in game.

That "bug" looks really good. Too bad you can't get a photo for your char like that.

Yes please to traditional eyeglasses that aren't shades.

I was wearing glasses 23,000 years before it wasn't cool.

The bad news is that this has been fixed :) The good news is that we could author more transparent glasses on purpose if we wanted to, so if that sounds great -- please lobby your favorite artist or designer. Thanks :)

Well, I don't know how to do that. I was hoping you or someone else in CCP would pass it along to them.

Tell them to come and look at this thread, and then say "we'll do it". We'll then click the little like icon and give them kudos!

Just like I liked your post ;)
