Corp Thief: Morvinn/Zetrick

Greetings fellow capsuleers,

This is a quick note to alert others of a recent corp theft. Yesterday, 2014-01-13, Morvinn, a director in Fallen Supremacy, took all available corp assets, emptied the corp wallet, and stole several capitals, before posting a goodbye message in our director chat and dropping roles.

Morvinn has a number of known alts, including Zetrick and most, if not all, of the characters in his alt corp [ASROC].

One of our directors reached out to Morvinn in an attempt to learn why this theft occurred. The relevant part of his reply is as follows:

"As for stealing stuff its kind of what I do, I CANT HELP MYSELF."

We advise anyone who is considering doing business with Morvinn, Zetrick or any of the characters in [ASROC] to take into account that you are dealing with an admitted thief.

Why is it not ok for the owner of several characters to state his alts as per CCP ruling a few months back BUT it is ok for someone else to point out exactly who your alts are AND even naming players that MIGHT be alts ?

There's a ccp ruling that you're not allowed to tell people who your alts are? that seems bizarre.

People keep thinking I'm an alt but this is my main. The rule is that you're not allowed to impersonate someone you're not. But if you say who your alts are and someone cries to CCP about it, it should be easy for them to verify whether you're breaking rules or not.

Also, I thought this kind of theft generally only happened to indy corps Big smile

It's more like 1 senior GM (Karidor) making a bunch of really stupid statements over a guy who scammed some people out of supercaps by putting his name on the trusted 3rd parties list in the EVE wiki. Karidor went on to make claims such as "Pretending to be your alt is a bannable offence", "ISboxers are botters" & also attempted to ban scamming. He's been strangely quiet since basically everyone called him out for being a mong.

Thanks for the summary. While I read through quite a bit of that a month or two ago, I didn't know that part. I surely hope your supercap escrow service has picked back up since then. I have been quite pleased with all of the smooth transactions we have done.
