You scored 77%.

Well done! Your chances of surviving a zombie apocalypse are better than average! Don't get too cocky, though. Remember, the undead never sleep...

I think it's valid, the way Romero used/uses zombie apocalypses as an allegory for contemporary economic climate. and also valid as a version of cowboys and indians seen in video games, where we get to fight mindless hordes of 'bad guys' with superior firepower. guilty pleasure. like the christ figure in action movies

That is shocking really.

I wonder if android has one?

On second thought probably not most apps and games are total garbage on the play store.

Oh very true that Romero took it to a new allegorical level in 1968, but that's been it. But that was 46 years ago, and now the zombie flicks are no better than the thousands of horrible Sci Fi B-movies made in the 50's. They are throwaways, suitable for MST3K only.

this is just crazy...

I can't believe i'm so naturally able to withstand/endure zombie apocalypses. medical knowledge and avoidance and using others bad luck to my advantage I guess. btw...I took the clotrimazole too...never know when that might come in handy in a post apocalypse world...probably more often than one might like.

I also hid under the stairs from the zombies and slipped away when they came down lol

I noticed it asked what size town you live in (rural ftw) but not geographic location. I think some of us would be at a terrible disadvantage in a frozen hellhole like we live in lol. i'd be more afraid of the elements than the undead shufflers. I don't have much in the way of igloo building skills.

edit: actually...maybe that would be an advantage! can zombies make it in freezing temperatures? they are just cadavers with no body heat, right? they would probably be corpsicles frozen on the ground unable to move lol

I'm guessing it depends on the source. I'd like to believe that we'd be littered with corpscicles rather than walkers.

Also, I used the pipe. Went under the assumption that gun fire/chainsaws would draw more. Figured I'd just "brain" them and go about my merry way (heavier by a loaded gun, chainsaw and gasoline).

You live St. Cloud way, right? As a St. Paulite, I'd be arse-deep in them but not nearly as bad as the poor bustards in Minneapolis.....hehehe

79.9, whatever that means in the context of survival. I always figured survival as binary: You do, or you don't.

Ice blocks are not hard to create. After that all it is stack and pack. AS for the cold and zombies. I believe you would be correct....that being said my friends always chew me out when I say that Romero based zombies would never work to begin with as there is no circulation to drive the machine. No nutrients, no oxygen, etc. The bodies would not be able to function. But 'zombies' aka infected like from the movie 28 Days Later are another matter and they would probably freeze up in the cold north as they probably would not have the cognition to try to keep themselves warm.

John Ringo adds his take on 'realistic' zombies. Unfortunately, he lumbers the story with his own personal brand of bad story-telling but what the hell - At last the underlying bones of the story are sound enough. Now, if only a better story-teller would take those bones and hang some non-silly flesh off of them...

cloud is the closest "big" city to me. but i'm still like 27 miles from it lol

yeah I wouldn't want be in a major urban center in the case of an event like this lol. not only would there be more zombies but more regular survivors too. double the threat imo. regular people probably more so because you at least know what the zombies want from you every time Lol

Yea, thats a valid point.

However, I live in the 'burbs. There is at least two trucking companies and a metro bus parking area not far from me. Plenty of fuel and sporting goods stores.

(gah, is it wrong that I've given thought to this.....)

I had to laugh. My eldest son came home and was stoked at an assignment that he was given at school. He was to design a shelter for the upcoming zombie apocalypse. He and I have talked about this assignment....hehehe

Also, I've figured out that ice choppers can be converted into makeshift anti-zombie polearms very quickly with a cutting torch and a bench grinder. Pirate
