Probing filters

Not sure if this is the correct section, but here goes. When probing before Rubicon, i could set my filters, and things worked fine. Now when i set my filters, for instance i selected "Force Recon" in the ships tab, and only force recons would show up when probing, now every ship in system shows up. I have deleted and i have edited filters, but no change. Am i missing a new step? Anyone else having this problem? Any solution would be helpful, thanks.

nothing has changed. Filters can't be used to find out what a ship is before you scan it. If you set your filter to only show force recons, every ship will show up, and the results will only be filtered once you know its a force recon. For this reason, filters other than ship/cosmic signature/structure/drone are not particularly useful.

You need a certain signal strength to know what kind of ship it is. Anything less than the threshold will just come up as ship because he might be a recon but you don't know until you get a better signal strength on it. I use to know the percent but that was about a year ago.
