Here's all of them:

Angel (15-20%), elite Angel (15-20%), BR (40-50%), elite BR (30-50%), R drones(~40%), elite R drones (~30%), Sansha (40-50%), elite Sansha (40-50%), Amarr empire (40-50%), Khanid (~50%), Minmatar rep (~15%)

This is where kin is an advantage:

Guristas, elite Guristas, serpentis, elite Serpentis, Caldari state, Gall Fed, Mordu

So ALL of the top ones is where a kinetic bonused missile ship is bad and unless it's Minnie based it'll be REALLY bad and even then it's some 15-20%. So yes, choosing a kinetic only ship means that in a large % of the possible cases you'll lose out anywhere from 15-50% applied dps. So people going "kinetic is fine" just aren't correct.

You make it sound like I'm completely discounting damage selectability as an advantage. Of course its an advantage. And of course the tengu can limit its dps loss by switching to em vs em-weak enemies. Its better vs some than vs others. Doesn't change the answer to the OP's question, or make the tengu a poor choice for mission running by any stretch.

If the tengu had a 50% kinetic bonus and a smaller RoF bonus, then i'd be less inclined to recommend it. Allow me to revise "kinetic is fine" and say instead "tengus are fine."

"**CCP is changing policy, and has asked that we discontinue the bonus credit program after November 7th. So until then, enjoy a super-bonus of 1B Blink Credit for each 60-day GTC you buy!"**

Never forget.

Yup, no problem with that (as if I matter).

I'm just making a counter point to some of "olol Tengu for lyfe and Kinetic is just fine yo, it's like ballin and super tha best evaaaar!". Not saying you did that but in general the whole "tengu is best" meme (as with all memes) is annoying and wrong. Any newbie who would read that crap would probably perpetuate said meme, so someone has to stand on his soapbox to dispense some facts and reasoned stuff :P

how's your internet connection?

IIRC, and if fixed and I missed someone please correct, bastion has the nasty side effect of no safe warp out on disconnect (as bastion warping under any circumstances). You drop for whatever reason you hope you can log in before you die an issue. this has me on the fence about marauders even with golem trained already. For some reason 1-2 days a bit back my normally good network went to crap. Been quiet since then but for me but it added a dew cons to the return to golem argument as I can fly it (jsut did not like it much prebuff, haven't tried post buff).

Also you can shoot for both. get tengu first at let it make isk for the golem. If any pvp aspirations cruiser 5 won't go to waste. YOu will need the t2 medium launchers as well and the subs are jsut a month so not end of the world in terms of a time sink imo.

You people .... how could you suggest a tengu over a golem in any way shape or form , hell even if your doing lvl4s in npc space or in lowsec id reather be in a golem then a tengu and yes even stuck in bastion . It does everything better apart from "beeing lazy" but even in that department im not sure .

OP , just use logic and pick a golem , there is no reasson to fly a tengu and please dont listen to the " scrub lords " cant call em different that lecture about lvl5s and tengus 99.99% of em have no clue how a lvl5 looks like and how you actually run em SOLO and what ships to use ( tengu aint one of em ) .
