Is there a way to compare stats of ships from different patches? E.g. if I want to see how the Nighthawk has changed throughout various expansions, nerfs and buffs?

I don't know of anyone keeping a database like that (at least not in readable and comprehensible format) but it's an interesting idea.

acquire an old version of EFT.

Or just use the force of your memory, preferably tinted with rose. For example, I recall my old ishtar (with 2 damage rigs) got exactly 533 dps with gardes at 40km and also had to offline the cloak to do combat. It was of the best plexing ships I have ever owned (this is the rose-tinted part).

Never forget.

There might be a lot of old versions of Pyfa you could install. You would have to manually compare the ship with each version of Pyfa though.

Doesn't matter

The nighthawk was nerfed to oblivion a few patches ago

Giving it the drake model made the entire ship useless <.<
