NERF HML'S, Tengu's and Drakes

Enough is enough CCP. These things are easily overpowered. I mean the drake is the only T1 BC that can (somewhat) efficiently solo L4's, maybe the Myrm can to but it requires a lot more skills and even then will have less dps than a decent drake. Same with Tengu's, you hardly need another ship after you get a Tengu, solo 10/10's, solo L5's, blitz L4's, pvp, exploration, you name it does it, either nerf it to the other T3's capability's or bring the other T3's up to it's level

HML's need a serious range nerf

I'm suggesting this:

HML's

+10% Powergrid Requirements
-60% Velocity
-50% Flighttime
-20% Heavy Missile Damage

Drake needs a tank nerf, same with tengu

Obviously anyone who flys the tengu/drake/HML Launching Ships will hate these changes but they what's been needed for years

Cut flight time on HM's I'm not against, but rather see the ships bonus cut.

I like the way you quote HAMs DPS with HML range. How about I moan about Projectiles quoting Autocannon DPS and Artillery range. Makes me look like I don't know what I'm talking about, doesn't it.

Op's either joking or trolling, and also can't post in the right section.

Still, to take this thread into slightly more serious nature, I'd say perhaps HML need a range nerf (by cutting flight time), cruises might as well, but that would effect quite a few ships while certain loltastic situations with HML's are down to specific ship bonuses (ie, Tengu) rather than the system in general.

I'm not going to comment on HAM's as I don't use them, and due to the lack of threads about them, either nobody does or they're fairly balanced.

Personally, after using missiles for PVE for a while and finding them frighteningly boring (respecced for lasers instead), the only change I'd really like to see is missile velocity increased and fight times lowered for more immediate damage.

Confirmed. Heavy Missiles from 100km away are OP. The target dies before they even get there, could there be something more OP?

Also Confirmed in heavy Lag. Missiles disappearing do more damage then turrets hitting.

But you people need to realize that HML's are the long range weapons and HAM's are the short range weapons. Since HML's are used so often many people seem to think that Pulses, Blasters, AC's and HML's are all in the same "weapon group", when in reality HAM's belong in that group not HML's.

Sure, compared to Pulses, AC's and Blasters HML's damage may seems balanced but that's since your comparing it with the wrong weapons. Compare HML's to Rails, Arty and Beams and you'll quickly see how unbalanced it is. I mean give me Arty that does 600 DPS at 100km range and I'll be happy, maybe lower the PG requirements of Beams and it'll be nice, give rails more damage and that'd be sweet (Crucible ^^). You guys need to realize that.

Alright, maybe HAM's could keep their current range, not many people complain about them and their range is already pretty short, but their DPS is a little over the top imo, even when comparing to blasters, AC's and Pulses.

Alright guys, come on, someone post who doesn't solely use the Drake and Tengu in their eve life and actually uses medium guns on other ships than caldari

Even with all that in my way, using simple Titanium sabots with T1 arties I can hit 100 damage per hit (Per gun bro).

I can deduce that someone who is completely better than me in every way with barrgae ammo & T2 guns can pull that little feat off. This is also completely ignoring the massive gaping hole in the whole argument, most notably the fact that it takes a long time for the missles to impact, and that often the target you're shooting dies before your missles even hit.
