I've just returned to the game and I see there have been some changes to the ships that I usually fly.

I'm a miner, so I don't really have any fitting experiences, could you guys give me some fitting ideas for:

Coercer
Omen
Maller
Harbinger

Bestower
Miasmos

Magnate

-

Money is not an issue, SP are.

Any advice are welcome. Smile

If these ships aren't that good any more I'm interested what is. Smile

You will get the best response if you say what you want to use them for. PvP? PvE? Mining? Cool

Ah sorry. Oops

PvE, Lvl1, LvL2 (maybe LvL3).

The Bestower for distribution missions, the Miasmos for transporting ores to the local trade hub, the Magnate for exploration.

The type of pirates: it changes quite often, I don't really focus on one particular Agent, I tend to fly around a lot.

For L1, L2s and HS anomalies, a beam Coercer does a very good job, almost on par with the more popular Corax/Talwar missile missioners. Just range tank the opposition, and change crystals according to the situation at hand.

[Coercer, L2 PvE Coercer]
Heat Sink II
Heat Sink II
Internal Force Field Array I

1MN Afterburner II
Sensor Booster II

Small Focused Beam Laser II
Small Focused Beam Laser II
Small Focused Beam Laser II
Small Focused Beam Laser II
Small Focused Beam Laser II
Small Focused Beam Laser II
Small Focused Beam Laser II
Small Focused Beam Laser II

Small Processor Overclocking Unit I
Small Ancillary Current Router I
Small Energy Locus Coordinator I

I don't really understand this build.

Why do you prefer pulse lasers? What for are the Internal Force Field Array I and the Sensor Booster II?
Wgy does rigs?

What do you guys think about this fit I've found on Battleclinic?

[Maller, Cheap Maller for beginner PvE]
Heat Sink I
Medium Automated Carapace Restoration
Fourier Transform Tracking Program
Beta Reactor Control: Capacitor Power Relay I
Beta Reactor Control: Capacitor Power Relay I
'Refuge' Adaptive Nano Plating I

X5 Prototype Engine Enervator
Eutectic Capacitor Charge Array
Experimental 10MN Afterburner I

Heavy Modulated Energy Beam I

Medium Capacitor Control Circuit I
Medium Energy Collision Accelerator I

He prefers beam lasers, not pulse. But he put T2 lasers, which is against your SP issue note. Force Field Array is an active tank module. If turned on, it will make harder to penetrate your shields, armor and , mainly, hull. Nice thing, but without armor repairer it is more for PvP, not PVE.
Rigs help your ship get more damage, power or other modifications. But those modifications can not be reused. Only replaced and losttherefore. So use them wisely. You will lose rigs if you repackage ship. But combat ship without rigs is not very effective.
For low SP you can use this fit:
[Coercer, Coercer: Level 1 Blitz Mobile]
Heat Sink II
Heat Sink II
Heat Sink II

Tracking Computer II
Limited 1MN Microwarpdrive I

Dual Modulated Light Energy Beam I
Dual Modulated Light Energy Beam I
Dual Modulated Light Energy Beam I
Dual Modulated Light Energy Beam I
Dual Modulated Light Energy Beam I
Dual Modulated Light Energy Beam I
Dual Modulated Light Energy Beam I
Dual Modulated Light Energy Beam I

Small Energy Burst Aerator I
Small Energy Locus Coordinator I
Small Energy Locus Coordinator I

And for distribution missions you probably better with something like this:
[Wreathe, Wreathe: Hauler]
Expanded Cargohold II
Expanded Cargohold II
Damage Control II
Nanofiber Internal Structure II
Nanofiber Internal Structure II

Adaptive Invulnerability Field II
EM Ward Field II
Thermic Dissipation Field II
Medium Capacitor Battery II
Experimental 10MN Microwarpdrive I

Improved Cloaking Device II
Salvager II

Medium Cargohold Optimization I
Medium Low Friction Nozzle Joints I
Medium Hyperspatial Velocity Optimizer I

cause it is quick and has more chances to survive missions in low sec.

Thank you. Your Coercer makes a lot of sense, I will probably use it.

I still have to look through the Wreath build. I've lost a Bestower to high sec ganking recently. What?

Its for PvE, a single DC is sufficient for all L2s if you range tank properly. Tried and tested...Blink

I just looked up that loss....
You would have lost that Bestower regardless of it's fitting. Don't EVER transport PLEX in a ship!
Also: don't put a billion worth of cargo in an industrial or it will just be a juicy target for gankers.

The thing is: the more EHP your ship has the more ships the suicide gankers need to kill your ship. If those ships are less expensive than the possible loot from your cargo you will get ganked for profit.
I'm not 100% sure what the current prices are for the gank ships but you can assume about 100 mio cargo per 10k EHP(effective hit points) is relatively save* from ganks. (someone will probably correct me on this number - haven't been in highsec for quite some time now)
-> To transport a billion ISK worth of stuff you will need a ship that has a LOT more EHP than an industrial.

*save as in: "won't get ganked for profit" - but not invincible

Since then I never transport stuff myself, Red Frog and Push do it for me.

I would be interested though how they managed to gank me. I wasn't scanned, I wasn't autopiloting and as soon I warped through the gate my ship was shot down, in an instant. Someone even tried to pod me afterwards.

And since Plex is always destroyed it really didn't make any sense for me. What?

Pretty sure they can drop unless it got changed recently. (50% of the cargo drops randomly - in your case the ganker was just unlucky and only some worthless modules dropped)

There is a module that can lock you without you noticing it. (passive targeting system , or something like that) That's how they scanned you.
The ship that killed you had artillery fitted, which is a slow cycling but high dmg weapon, so he simply oneshoted your untanked bestower.
