Hello, I am a steam user who wants access to singularity. Does anybody know how to do this? Yes I read the article on how to do it and I'm on mac but I just need to figure out my name and password so i can participate in the mass test.

The Username and password should be the same as your Steam login if I remember correctly

Incorrect; you must log in via Steam. You should be able to point it at Singularity by editing the command line options for EVE, and appending /server:singularity to it.

This will only work if your account exists on Singularity however.

Thanks for the clarification on that :)

No but really, how do you connect to Singularity through Steam?

Setting /server:Singularity causes my launcher to lock up every time it starts. Setting it to /server:87.237.38.50 doesn't cause the launcher to crash, but it doesn't log in through Steam either and asks me for a user name and password.

What?.... Why.....

Edit: I should note that this is after I created a separate folder, copied my installation over to that folder, ran the repair tool with the /server:singularity extension, and then copied all of this back over my Steam installation. These were the only steps that allowed me to even get the game patched up to a Singularity installation.

I've got half a dozen other games in my Steam library that allow me to download, install and run a beta/test version of the client independently from my original installation with no extra effort required. Is this really something difficult or expensive to set up?

A couple of them are indie titles...
