you wanted easy kills with your 700 dreads and what not, but you ignored server mechanics and got slaughtered like a bunch of noobs, thanks for those kills.

So you say nobody can win this fleet that you brought there no matter how many ships attacking side can gather or what tactic they use? I think this is not a good game mechanic. What do think?

What i say - you can see it in my posts. Problem is not in loose fight. Problem in game mechanic - use blob or imba carriers blob to win, and get first in system to win

Look your FC's made some very bad choices and it cost you your ship no point quitting over it sack your FCs and get some better ones for next time.

Can I have your stuff if you do decide to quit? I promise to put it to better use than you ever did.

This is important issue.

Eve just proved that is not ready for current SOV war.
CCP have to buy more servers - or change capitals and supers , and the sentry drone assist mechanic.

You do realize that CCP's Tranquility server is currently the worlds largest and most powerful commercial supercomputer in existence right?

"if Skynet ever comes to pass, we'll know exactly who to blame." - Cassandra Khaw, PC Gamer, referring to Eve's Tranquility server in June 2013

Have you guys ever stop and wonder that the 'solution' to this issue is not just by slapping more processing power to the current one? CCP has already done what many have considered impossible to implement in terms of sustaining that kind of mass player activity on a single shard.

OP is doing the right thing. So are his friends. CCP has stated they have no immediate plans to change sov. This is obviously not a good decision. How do you effectively change a subscription funded companies bad decision? You do what the OP and friends are doing.

Fixing sov is not just about servers.

In a crowd control situation exit doors are a great idea. If there's a fire the more doors the better. The doors are the servers. However doors don't help if there's no exit signs, they don't help if there are only one or two narrow walkways.

I'm a crowd controller who works in nightclubs and casinos so pardon the examples but basically what I'm trying to say is CCP have a task similar to an evacuation in a packed crowded venue. The fix is going to be based on more than adding better more doors, it's going to need to direct the crowd to behave differently by implementing a whole raft of measures whilst dealing with its patrons increasingly filling its venue past safe levels.

Potentially an impossible task.
Oh, you're a bouncer...... That explains so much. Smile

Oh one those posts where you put down people based on their job :)

Well No I'm not a bouncer - me and my partner. We do anti-robbery officially but also crowd controlling since we don't get robbed often :) , the venues we work at are high risk since they turn over a lot of cash from gambling, we also do big event concerts and large nightclubs.

I was formerly an IT teacher but I'm retraining to law and need a good paying job I can do casual nights while I study.... but I do know a lot of bouncers if that makes you happy.

Anyway, back on topic...

CCP Fozzie “We can see how much money people are making in nullsec and it is, a gigantic amount, a shit-ton… in null sec anomalies. “*

yes, I say nobody can win this realistically.
But its the same situation as when you sat under cyno jammer in F4R2 with 100 spider tanking chimeras, which you can only kill by a blob of capitals (according to your own words there is no other counter to carriers!), which in turn you cant cyno in due to intact cyno jammer being guarded by all those chimeras .. you got the idea.

It was totally fine in your opinion since you got there first and locked down the system with your blob, you did a party about saving the system, why is this suddenly a complete different situation and broken game in HED? Just because its you being so stupid and trying to fight a blob of set up and loaded capitals in already overloaded system by suiciding straight into them?

survival of the fittest striked again.

lol , survival of the fittest? personally I have a tinge of sympathy for anyone who thinks sitting in a warp tunnel for 20 minutes and firing guns off twice in 30 minutes is what goes as fun nowadays.

If servers can't handle those numbers then those numbers shouldn't be allowed to be in one area at one time. All that happens is people get pissed off and leave which is no good for me,you or anyone else.

I've done enough 0.0 big battles to know I'll never do another one again and if somehow someone manages to persuade me I'll be damn sure getting paid to do it.

FYI: I was not in that battle, had no interest in being in that battle and tbh don't really care who won that battle because in the long run nobody wins in battles like that.

God Said "Come Forth and receive eternal life!" I came fifth and won a toaster!

I don't understand how you idiots expected anything different from what kind of strain you tried to put onto the server. You complain about hardware, while purposely maxing it out every big timer with you 2500+ blues in system. What do you honestly expect from their servers? This sort of barrage of you dudes thrown at their server is a rather new event, and expecting CCP to be able to cope with this sudden surge of everyone in eve dog-piling into one system is a lot to ask.

So give CCP a ******* break.

I feel that someone is thinking about increase of gameperformance in exchange for some realmoney. You don't have to pay, but if you do, you can play faster.
