EvE is not Morrowind... It's an MMO, there is no End-Game except for maybe completing every epic arc in the game and experiences every type of gameplay functionality.

EvE is a sandbox, the game experience is literally what you as a person are psychologically capable of making it.

also the Mitt barely even logs in to eve anymore.

Save for mass trading or production, or forming my own aliance(real life time for it is unavailable unfortunately) ...I've done it all, so now what?

Fun is the end game, and where the fun is changes with the years.

Myself, after 8 years, still like cruiser and frig sized hulls the best.

So some dude is bragging that hi have spend stupid amount of cash to buy fat pixel and now is crying over that what t' hell.....

So are you complain A) that worst idiot(as presented) is able to plex char/ship and be in the "end game" (my arse) the very first day or B) you just want that dude mitani to pay attention to you?

If A then i feel ya every tard can sink plex in game inflating prices making things cost bazzilions of isk while isk it self worth like rusty trash can at the bottom of a ditch. Game is gonna die and all that stuff

if B...ew. dude get a grip.

You choke behind a smile a fake behind the fear

Obvious attention-whoring aside, I agree with this bit.

And eve's biggest advantage(skill training regardless if you're logged on or off), eventually becoming it's biggest drawback in the very long term for very long term players if content isn't released consistently, maybe because CCP figures most will quit the game before that point anyhow.....The whole walking in stations and ignoring flying in space for the last 18+ months didn't help either here.

We're a minority no doubt as many have quit, and many don't bother logging in much except for training skills, but that alone says plenty right there doesn't it?...

I can certainly understand digitalwanderers point of view, long time vets DO need new and challenging content as well.

Of course virtually untouchable, overpowered ships are not the answer.

New and interesting area's of game play are. Even something as simple as a viable system for being a bounty hunter, or a contraband hunter, or an anti-pirate professional, or even better tools to facilitate a resurgence of purely mercenary corps of all sizes.

That's the way forward, not an ever escalating power curve of new ship types.

Would be true that new professions like the ones you mentioned would be pretty cool to add variety to the game, but what about in terms of skill training objectives?...There has to be something there to keep the char evolving skill training wise?

The reason i mentioned faction and T2 capitals, is mostly because at least for the faction variety they're already in the storyline of at least 5 factions,....Salvador sarpati of the serpentis has his own titan, and it doesn't look like an erebus, and if you look at the eve chronicals, we see a picture of a caldari titan that looks nothing like a leviathan, or when the khanid seperated from the amarr empire, they took 2 titans with them and they don't look like avatar titans in the least...There's only a partial picture but they look like giant sized dramiels, so way better looking than the flying mushroom..:P

Then there's the sansha with the incursions and the revenent supercarrier.....Do you really believe the other factions would stand idly by and not try to develop their own versions to balance out forces overall between all factions, even if using the existing super carrier hulls as a basis for their designs?....Or how about the mothership type vessel the jove deployed when the amarr attacked them and they got wiped out.

So the examples for at least faction versions of capital ships are there, as they're either in game or in the eve chronicles themselves...That's some of the examples of the lost potential within the eve storyline, not being taken advantage off at all so far....

Oh I totally agree with this, I was simply speaking in more general terms of overall game play that might draw a old timers attention away from cap ships.

I think that there is room in the game for T2 and even T3 versions of most every ship class in the game. I simply don't want them to center around simply being tougher and having heavier firepower. I believe they would be better served to put more of a focus on versatility or unique abilities.

I completely agree, i don't want uber ships either or instant i win buttons either, but there's still unique abilities if we use some imagination too and not based on pure firepower and tanking ability....Capitals being able to travel much farther on a single jump(even jumping with no need for a cyno), and being able to dock in specialised installations, even developing capital sized modules that exist on smaller classes that can be used on those ships exclusively, wich will be much more expensive and take much longer to build than current capitals(2~3x longer for final assembly,so think 12 weeks+ for that part alone), and the training will make it look like it's easy to train for a titan....

Something that might take 10+ years before we see even a small fraction of what exists today in terms of number of titans in operation and only the most hard core pilots willing to go the distance skill training wise.....We don't sell our chars usuallyP

Example....Titan version of a black ops BS.

Has the same damage and resists as a regular titan, but ditches the doomsday but can cloak and warp out, and jumprange is increased over a regular titan, without the need for a cyno being at the destination at all, and with the room freed up by not having the doomsday onboard, the ship maintenance bay is far larger than a regular titan(think 10x larger here), so that a decent sized attack fleet can be formed as they leave the maintenance bay the instant the ship arrives on location with no warning to those being attacked from their scouts....It also has the ability to dock given the brutal training requirements, so having a holder alt is extremely unlikely.

Just a quick idea and not meant to be perfect, and i'm sure there are other good configurations to think about, and it's not so much about being overpowered, but catching hostiles with their pants down, anywhere and at any time with no warning at all...P

That would make pvp a bit more exciting and umpredictable to say the least...

I would be sad if this game became no more than managing a skill que. Actually I would just find something else. to do. I came to that on a lot of the old text MMOs where the game really was stats and if you had collected enough you basically won. The thing is there are lots of dynamics in eve that have next to nothing to do with your character sheet skills. If I was you? Take what you already have 'perfect' skills in and experiment with using it. Come up with applications nobody else has. Figure you can afford a lot of hulls and there are no game mechanic skills to impede your performance so really it comes down to what you can do as a pilot. Pick something fun FFS.

90% of of the time my posts are about something I actually find interesting and want to learn more about. Do not be alarmed.

65 million sp in ship command across all 4 races, and yes, i've flown pretty much anything there is to fly save for super carriers and titans even though i'm fully qualified to fly all 4 titans, and 2 super carriers, with maxed bonuses at that....They can't dock, and i only have this 1 account and simply refuse to buy another char as a holder for a titan, as i firmly believe there shouldn't be a requirement in any game to need more than 1 person to experience all the game content, so being stuck in a flying coffin wich is what a titan is, when i have all these skills trained for every race, no thanks....Blink

Sneaky way for CCP to get more accounts, but i'm not falling for it thanks....

I fully agree with everything you said right here.

You had a funny way of making this point though, with all the trolling and whining around it.

I don't judge people by their race, religion, color, size, age, gender, or ethnicity. I judge them by their grammar, spelling, syntax, punctuation, clarity of expression, and logical consistency.

CCP, with its new Crucible patch, has utterly ruined the end-game, aka Supercapitals. I know, the whiners are already screaming, "EvE doesn't have an end-game." Bullocks.

I've played this game for 5+ years, and the vast majority of "bittervets" I know own caps and own supercaps, or want super caps. No one has the long term "goal" of being a Battleship jocky/cannon fodder. At least, no one who will play EvE long-term.

The nubs who fly Dreaks in Level III missions come and go. They don't contribute much to industry, they don't contribute much to the politics of EvE, and they don't contribute much as FC or any of the other roles that keep the "sandbox" of EvE running.

I don't give much of a **** about what happens to my own super. For one thing, I bought it with Plex, and I have an almost unlimited amount of Plex in my RL bank account (Imagine about 10 of your parent's houses). Furthermore, being extremely busy in RL, I have not had time to log into EvE for any reason other than to change skills. So, as for my supercap, let it burn, let it die, let it rot in space. I will either Plex for another one, or fly a 'Nado, which looks more fun anyways.

But I am the Anti-Mittani.* Unlike him and his dark Horde, I do not want to see New Eden burn. I don't want to see 1000 rifters beat 100 supers. I don't want to see online player numbers drop and drop and drop. I don't want this game to go in the direction of SWG -- which died a horrible, twisted death when the Devs tried to appeal to the masses and the kiddies and the nubtards.

I was on the Something Awful forums long, LONG before The Mittani. I saw the first skirmishes between SA, 4chan, THWF, Gen May, and others. I understand their goals and motivations. And I loath them.

Come at me, bro.

TL;DL -- EvE is not a fun game; crying about my super; my tears, they fuel you. My tears, best tears.

*OTOH, perhaps he is right. EvE is not a fun game.

All work and no fun makes you a dull retart.

Also... seeing as you can buy houses for 70k (all depends on location) and I mean I could find them for less (30K)... 700k... really not too much money...

I mean I'm in an expensive area (houses were 800K 1mill, + during the bubble) so even if I give you the high 300k (yep 1m houses are now 300k) still 3mill... eh... not really anything to wright home about, the $100 bill is the new $10.

Btw think of your money, x 200 and that is what I have.

Cause you know, interweb words are truth! I mean I really do have that much, in my RL bank account, in my RL dreams.
