Its a cool concept, but some major flaws with this game need to be addressed for people under the 10M SP bar. Ill just accept the fact that training skills in real time is just a part of this game that is never going to change. However, there are two fixes to this game that would of kept me still playing those being:

-Better story, missions, environments-
I do not feel immersed. I feel no sense of accomplishment going to different stations and killing space pirates. The terrain is all the same. A metal box orbiting a moon and some pirates in some asteroid belt by some secrete science facility. There is no direction for me to go.

-Reduced monthly expense for people who just want to train OPTION-
There is no justification to pay 20 dollars for something where you do nothing. There should be an option to pay only 1 dollar a month. You cannot log into the server. All you do is go on the website and click skills to train.

Anyway those are my two problems. Ill keep tabs on this game to see if there are any new developments.

Sorry guys, I feel like a failure, like I just barely missed falling in love with this game, but I gave it a few months. I gave it an honest shot. This just is not the game for me. And when I say not the game for me, I mean; this is just not a game in my eyes worth paying 15 dollars a month for.

I am sure to some of you eve vets and eve enthusiast probably think I am crazy, but there is a huge hill you have to climb as a new player, but the climb for a new player is nothing but waiting.... Its like the game and the gaming community are telling new players "this is an awesome game and we know you know it, so we are going to make you wait months and months doing nothing before you have any fun".

Best of luck to you all.

There's really no need to come explain yourself. If you want to go, just go.

Your also very wrong in your assumption. You can be active from day 1 in PvP and other aspects of the game. No need to reach 10 million SP before you start playing.

However, before you biomass (please do), can I haz your stuff?

Some people are just not suited to having to wait for something or having long term goals. You made the mistake of waiting for you skills to finish and burned out before you got doing things. You will be back.

I've been a mission runner for 6 years. I enjoy it. Not everyone does. And that's the thing there is so much more to this game than running the same missions for the same agent over and over ad nauseum.

I am sure there is a lot I'm forgetting but you get the idea. You're frustrated because you're only seeing one small facet of this game.

Training skills is not what this game is about. You train the skills WHILE you're doing the other things in the game that are listed above. Maybe the reason you don't feel immersed is that you're logging on. queuing up skills, and then logging off again.

5m SP here, more ISK than I need to keep myself in ships that are plenty big enough to do stuff in - and more to the point, plenty of fun to be had because I'm not blinkered by "EVE is supers and titans and nullsec oh my". Alt is purposefully staying under the 900k alpha clone level and doing just fine.

10m SP is around 6 months which is how long it takes to get all core certs to elite (under the old cert system), so while that is a "nice to have" it's not really essential to play.

The problem with the $1 per month to train is that it would trash the Character Bazaar.

Tell them what? Amusingly pretty much every woman IRL that I know to have complained about a "glass ceiling" has been lazy, whiny and self-entitled - much like the OP... :p

the game doesn'tr try very hard to immerse you in NPC bullcrap. You should get immersed in an environment where other people affect what you do. I would think RvB was a good place for that.

"**CCP is changing policy, and has asked that we discontinue the bonus credit program after November 7th. So until then, enjoy a super-bonus of 1B Blink Credit for each 60-day GTC you buy!"**

Never forget.

There is no justification for doing nothing simply because you can't do it with a T2 fitting. There is no justification for expecting an online sandbox environment to provide all your content. And there is no justification for complaining about forking over the equivalent of a pack of smokes, a coffee and a sandwich to play this terrible, wonderful game.

You wouldnt have given such a detailed description of why you leave if you didn't want some feedback on why people think differently. I too have a feeling you will be back. What you sum up is typical of people who need a break.

One tip: the immersion of Eve is in playing with other people, having the idea that whatever you do affects the gameplay of other players and subtle (less visual) variables in the environment. That is worth forking some money over every month for me. The stale PVE content, not so much. The flying around with friends, shooting ships and structures bit is pure gold if you get with the right people.

I think I was 3mo in the game, certainly less than 10mil sp, when I helped kill a war target flying a Dominix Navy Issue. The next month I was in a wormhole killing a tengu and a drake. You need to get different friends. Better ones.
