I need ideas about how to reap tears flying solo.

The Holy trinity is what makes people so nerdly deppendent on dps power or tanking power to fight their fights. And whine out that DPS or HP of a given ship is OP or UP in forums.

So the only thing you must do is find out if your playstyle is stampeed fight, in this case get a tanking ship and fight on. If your playstyle is bursted surprise uncoutered damage, get a gunboat equip some jams and skill up for maximum bust. If neither fits, find someone on the two previous situations and offer your support.

The holy trinity wont die easly, so cant expect anything else from tactics and warfare.

I don't always fly frigates, but when I do, I fly a Proteus.

I think beyond the ~Sun Tzu~ and love of Chairman Mao they're saying that Eve is just your typical generic fantasy RPG, hack and slash adventure where instead of robes and wizard's hats we have spaceships. Which might make sense when you consider:

Short range weapons = DPS/Melee
Long range weapons = DPS/Range/Kite
Logistics/RR = Cleric/Healer
EWAR = Control Mage/Stuns/Debuffs
Drones = Pets/Minions
OGB = Buffs
Capacitor = Mana

While it might be true on some level it discounts the fact that Eve has elements to it beyond the gameplay mechanics that lead to PvP success. Like being able to gather intel with the tools available, local knowledge, espionage, people in your fleet that can co-ordinate well, etc., among others.

Even simple things like being able to pull off a bait and gank on someone in Eve is like the oldest trick in the book according to ~Sun Tzu~. Of course the people that love to quote the Art of War tend to be armchair generals that love their esoteric mysticism or that their ability to quote texts give them some fantastic insight into the nature of internet spaceship PvP when it's really as simple as, "Use every advantage possible to screw people over to get their killmail and assume they're going to do the same to you."

This is an alt. been in Eve for years. Yes Stealth Bomber is a frig haul, but I dont think of it as a frig. I made this post for fun but i think most people find out that if ya want to have fun after being in this game for years you need to get drunk and high and reap tears from the fallen. Just Saying from the OP

Curse is a very good solo ship against all turret ships, the only problem with it is that everybody knows this.
Cynabal is an excellent and highly mobile sniper... very good in kill frigates, if they don't know it.

You first need to know what is your engagement profile, then you can go and decide which ship to fly.

Pre-scan the data and relic sites in several systems. Keep a watch out for people entering those systems in an Astero. If you see probes out, warp to the site cloaked, wait for them to show up, point and harvest tears.
