true. I was reading this on a smartphone and missed the hi-sec bit :D OP would need to use at least low-sec planets for the extraction. Not too hard to get in and out to fetch the goods if you're fast...or train up for a blockade runner if he's the really nervous type

I make 300mil ISK an hour and I haven't even finished training my skills and only making 1 P3 good. With low skills I have to spend more time hauling than I would otherwise. Once my full production is up and running and I can optimize my hauling and optimize my extraction set up to ideal planets with minimal characters per planet I'll be making 700mil or more an hour playing about 2 hours a day. I'd do better if my laptop could run more clients at once so I could stagger their hauling so that I was never waiting around doing nothing.
That sounds suspiciously like you are not counting profit, you are counting total sales values. If you are making a profit of 300m/hour, that's 216 billion a month. I very much doubt that is profit.

If your unsure I can check your math, just evemail me what your calcs (you can strip out products and locations so you aren't giving away your money making endeavours).

POCO owners actually don;t make very much. On avearge it will take more than 2 months to break even.

And with the new skill, and the low tax rates people set, 99% of the time you are better off with a POCO than with the old concord customs offices. I think the tax has to be liek 20% for it to be the equivalent tax of the old ones.

Can't we just use the CC to launch into space and go pick it up? This avoids the whole tax thing completely, right?

You still pay tax at the NPC rate (which the new skill helps with) but can only launch 500m3 at a time. Being intrinsically lazy most capsuleers would rather move everything at once at a reasonable rate of tax. Time is money so running through a system and waiting for transfer timers to allow you to do multiple rocket launches offsets the tax cost in a lot of cases.
