permanent overview profiles I can't delete

I imported an overview pack (sarah's overview pack to be specific) and have configured it to my liking. However, under the list of overview profiles selectable when opening the tree "Load Overview Profile" when right clicking an overview tab there are two profiles I can't get rid of: "Not Saved" and "General"

These two profiles, "Not Saved" and "General" do not appear under the overview profiles that can be deleted. I've also tried saving them under different names, then deleting those names that do appear, but a fresh version of "Not Saved" & "General" always remain under my profiles list when right clicking tabs. The profiles do not appear when left clicking the box shaped horizontal bars button in the top left of the profile window.

How can I get rid of these "ghost profiles"?

Also i can't seem to export my profile for some reason.

general is the default game profile, can't be deleted.

as for he not saved, it deos mean that the current overview is not a profile you have already saved, that it is....wait for it...yes! not saved!

This is not helpful nor do you understand the problem.

I have tried selecting that profile, saving it under a name and then deleting that profile (which does show up under names that I can delete) however every time "Not Saved" still appears under selectable profiles when right clicking tabs. I have tried saving the profile under a name then deleting the named profile 30 times - every time there is stil a "not saved" appearing when right clicking on tab but does not appear when selecting the overview menu button in the top right.

so it seems you did, at a moment or another, saved a profile under the name "Not Saved", and since it is a system name, it somehow bug when you try to delete it from the game?

i suggest then that you actually export your current overviews to a xml file (right click on overview => export)

file should be located @ "%userdir%\documents\eve\overview"


from there, edit the XML file you previously exported (make a backup first!!) so to delete the profile you want (the not saved one).

then reset the overview in game to revert to a blank overview

then import the modified xml, this shall restore ALL the profiles / brackets / tabs, minus the "not saved" one.

hint, many other things can be done via manual editing, enjoy
