Ship "spawning" in POS after collapsing a hole.

Something weird like that happened today,I was collapsing a hole with an Orca MWD, and on it's way back it collapsed the WH as expected, but what I didn't expect is that my Orca was now inside my POS,at the exact same location that it had been like 5 minutes earlier before I brought it to the WH.

It's the first time I see something like that, but from what I can guess it's some sort of server sync issue, maybe my Orca was seen by the server as being in both systems at the same time so it put it back to it's last certain location or something like that?Anyway, did it ever happen to you guys?

I'm delicious.

It's even more amusing when it happens with a high sec hole, and it dumps you on a stargate.

I still like getting thrown into the sun...

Oh, Do go on... no seriously ive got nothing better to do then listen to all the petty arguments and feeble trolling attempts...

The sad thing is i'm not sure if i'm telling the truth.

I had this happen the other day closing a rogue high sec going into a C3, used an orca and WH closed orca ended up on a high sec gate.

for a moment I thought I had warped to the gate and forgotten as I was running multiple clients, but no I recalled I didn't initate warp.

very odd.

It happens when you crush wandering wormholes to your wormhole. We saw it a lot with R943s (High-sec to C2). You get "spawned" at the location your ship came into existence most recently, usually a ship maintenance array in a POS. Hence the anecdote in this thread about a Stargate in high-sec. That was the most recent place in the high-sec that he had "spawned."

I don't doubt your logic here, but I've got some more anecdotal evidence to throw this whole thing for a loop. Jumped through that same WH(R943) with an Orca, it was already crit, so there was no question it was going to collapse. Orca ended up exactly 20 AU away from the outermost planet ring on the opposite side of that planet's location(AKA, 40 or so AU away from any celestial). It's one hell of a safe.

I figured it was the same coordinates that the WH in HS was at, just placed into the W-space system(like what used to happen to caps that jumped to a dead cyno), then brought to the 20 AU limit imposed by CCP to nerf deep safes.

I got ported into the station after I closed the hole on a Drake that was coming in.

We were running an op with another group about six months ago, and I closed a c4 on my way back in with a Sacrilege, FC called for the fleet to warp to the static, noticed I was already there.

It's possible. This sort of behavior is not intended and qualifies as a bug. Therefore, the likeliness of it being perfectly able to fit into my explanation is unlikely :P
