Probably stupid coupling array question

I've got a few questions on coupling arrays.

1. What speed and quantity do they transfer in an hour? 100m3/hour?

2. In the following arrangement would i be destroying materials.

simple reactor----->silo----->coupling array----->complex reactor

The silo is filling with the product of the simple reactor and the coupling array is full from the silo. The question is, is the silo continuing to send material to the coupling array while it is full and destroying what is sent?

1. As it only has one input and one output, the max it can handle is whatever you connect it to.

2. You will not lose anything. You can cascade silos and coupling arrays to increase storage, but that setup looks pointless to me, as a coupling array doesn't provide a lot of storage for anything other than minerals.

Thank you.

The setup was just an example for my question, but your answers cleared a few things up in my mind.
