capacitor power relay stats twisted?

When you look at the stats of cap power relays you come across the wierd aspect that meta 4 modules have better stats than meta 5 (T2). They are intended to increase cap recharge rate in exchange for lower shield boost bonus. The step from meta 4 to meta 5 gives no increase in recharge rate but 1% more shield boost penalty.

Meta lvl 4: Beta Reactor Control: Capacitor Power Relay
Recharge rate bonus: 24%
Shield boost bonus: -10%

Meta lvl 5: Capacitor Power Relay II
Recharge rate bonus: 24%
Shield boost bonus: -11%

Is that really working as intended? I think they should have 25% recharge rate and -10% shield boost because you need more skilltime to use the T2 module.

Yes, many meta 4 modules are same or better than tech 2

Ok this is the first i took a closer look at... i just dont get the point why something that is advanced and therefor harder to use is made less effective. Its just confusing.

Try checking the price difference between meta 4 and T2 mods though. What?

No miracle here... when nobody wants T2 because the stats are bad compared to meta 4 the price will drop and the other will raise. Thats the consequence of this nonsense stat distribution.

Meta 4: Only available through drops, so limited supply, thus high price.
Tech 2: Player manufacturable, so 'unlimited' supply and lower price.

Tech 2 might be marked as Meta 5, but it really isn't. it's a completely separate list. Meta 4 are often better and easier to fit than tech 2. but a lot harder to find.

Tech 2 actually IS marked as meta 5, but i get your point... maybe the only problem then is that T2 must be seen as a completely different list while the meta 5 tag is confusing.

Tech 2 are designed to give a high amount of stats at a high cost, that includes CPU/PG and other negative effects.
Meta levels on the other hand is supposed to be better in all stats and sometimes they reach the same level as the t2 ones.

100 mil meta 7 and 8 faction guns, and 500 mil meta 9 officer guns, do less dps than 1 mil t2 meta 5 guns. It would have been a simple matter of fitting meta 5 neatly between meta 4 and 6 for all mods, but CCP opted to make up weird stats all over the place for it instead.Roll
