A lot of pathetic players would be screwed.

As far as I'm concerned they can get stuffed and go play wow.

EVE is a sandbox for players that like a sandbox. Refusing player on player fights does not go down well in WH space.

Nice work guys, keep it up.

So it's true then, ten capitals sd'd?

I can confirm, my scout watched the SD of an Archon, Moros, Chimera, Archon (in that order). I lost track of all the stuff that was SD'ed, but it was definitely a ***** move. I couldn't believe it when I saw the final tally, but I can confirm that those numbers are absolutely plausible. To be fair, there were a few honorable mentions to the whole operation. I would feel remiss if we didn't give them a shout out:

http://ragnarok.eve-kill.net/?a=kill_detail&kll_id=21349393

http://ragnarok.eve-kill.net/?a=kill_detail&kll_id=21360476

http://ragnarok.eve-kill.net/?a=kill_detail&kll_id=21351674

http://ragnarok.eve-kill.net/?a=kill_detail&kll_id=21349534

I can't remember exactly what happened with each of those kills, but it was generally a game of smear the queer. This is hilarious for us in INSRT, because we had been taunted in local by these guys. We had brought a few small gang fights to them, and told them that if they refused to fight that we would be bound by the holy scriptures of Bob to bring the sweet redeeming warmth of his DPS down upon them. They told us that "this is wormhole space, we will always have greater numbers of bigger ships". This was the gauntlet thrown down for us, and at that point cap seeding was a forgone conclusion.

We wanted to have gudfites, but these people were terribad. It's not the fault of the grunt-level pilots though, they're tenacious and fairly competent. However, they had inefficient leadership that led to ineffective forces. Even with our cap/subcap fleet they should have had enough ships to at least mount a REAL defense. We kept waiting and waiting for it to come but it never did. At one point, D34thnote started talking smack in local, and after an hour or two of pretending he was winning, he ended up trying to fight at which point he was summarily sent to hisec to think about what he'd done. I don't think he's logged in since then.

My point is this: run your wormhole and when someone brings a fight, take it. It doesn't matter if you bring t1 cruisers or whatever. If you refuse to fight you are clearly deficient in the holy gospel of Bob. His disciples will infiltrate and convert your wormhole to his divine order, this is inevitable. It's a jihad, and we're not stopping until Bob's messianic presence is felt.

Bob wills it.

Yeah, well, it's just like my opinion, man.

No, blob is nullsec lifestyle. This was an eviction. In wormhole space, everyone is expected to give fights, especially in the higher end wormholes. If you just want to sit around and carebear all day, and log off when someone comes knocking, then dont live in a womrhole.

I don't think anyone has been trolled on Reddit before. How did the community react to such a heinous crime?

As an ex ITTV member, I'm surprised! Wish this didn't happen to old corp mates but wormhole space demands fighting of some form. Good job in any case now enjoy the rewards and a new C6.

This thread should be archived, it contains a constructive post from INSRT. Also, once we engaged them, there was a lot of smack in local, from both sides. Our purpose was to agitate the inhabitants enough to get a fight out of them. I do however think the amount on our side was too high, so an apology is in order. As a sidenote, I did get smack from one of their pilots later, but due to the poor content/no variety of his insults (mostly calls me a noob), I will not be posting it.

As you may have seen, RGRIN have tried to excuse themselves, saying we rapecaged their capital POS (they also had 4 or 5 sticks with x-large maint arrays). Let me just state that, had a deal been made properly, we would have let them bring pods to that pos, get in caps and fight us. These are just excuses for not fighting. In the end, all they did was try to scurry out like cockroaches from a gassed room.

Also, I managed to ransom one of their members in an elusive zealot the day after the siege, and got his ship (yarr).

The loot we managed to get out of there was mostly tritanium, oxygen and a lot of ore. During the exodus, while we were moving the crap out, I was ganked by RCC. I must admit, I started laughing hysterically when I saw the devoter, mostly because the ship I was flying was worth less than it costs me to upgrade my clone (not taking into account implants). Also getting ganked hauling out worthless crap is always awesome. TBH we should have followed that hole's tradition and just self destructed all our ships when we were done.

BTW, anyone know how to remove POS mods from the killboards? They're completely shitting up ours: http://ragnarok.eve-kill.net/?a=home

EDIT: Their mighty POS defense consisted of offline hardeners and cruise missile batteries. Yeah.

I like that folks can SD in a POS. Why?? Because it makes so many folks so upset. I think the victims get more mileage out of a good SD than gankers do out of a big fat freighter pop.

It's their ship not yours. They can do whatever they want with it. It's not really logical for CCP to allow you to inflict your will over their assets. I want a billion real united states dollars ... I think we all have a realistic understanding of how that's gonna play out.

The grown up part of me wants to tell you to move on to other things that will make gameplay better (not more lucrative... better), but the little kid in me just skips around 'weee weeee a thread about SD'

I love your post. It made me laugh. Not at anyone in particular. It's funny because you can use it to defend both sides of the argument at the same time. This is exactly why SD inside a POS should be maintained.

To stay in step with the 'in' crowed - it's an excellent conflict driver on the forums. We all know that when folks get mad at each other on the forums it occaisionally moves in game. Woot to that!
