MMOs and the things in them are always being altered by their developers, be it balance changes or the addition of new content. This is not in any way unique to EVE and CCP. Unless EVE is your very first MMO, you should have known that things in the game were - and are - subject to change. If it displeases you that MMOs work this way and nobody is taking pity on you, then find a different game. I hear single-player games aren't altered very often; maybe you should look into one of those.

HTFU or GTFO. Adapt or Die. These are your choices in EVE.

Ok this is funny, is this how you talk to girls too? How's that working out?

If eve is a sandbox why would I only have two choices?

Logic, it sometimes fails you doesn't it?

Adapt or die.... lol who talks like this anyway?

Every day in every way I improve my skills and get better.

No. You trained them and had use of them.

This idea is nothing new and will be rejected by the majority of the player base, as well as CCP.

Just curious but you actually as a player don't want to have this ability? You think this would ruin eve how exactly?

We don't like it because it reduces the value of all skills by making them easier to acquire across the board and upsets the general balance of the game.

i agree, reallocating SP should only be exception, but i would like CCP to take their responsabilitys and offer everyone ONE of those, regarding what they did to exploration, where the rendered toons useless.

maybe limit the reallocation to SP from the exploration skills, but at least this should be done

more on topic, it is not a good idea, you made choices, you have to live with them (unlike the explo thingy wich where not in our hands)

The one interesting thing would be to be able to delete skills you have, I'd really love to forget about certain skills in order to use cheaper med clones again - but that's one thing.

Aksing SP to be allocated from a skill to another is absurd. You dedicated time to enhance your ability to do action A. You probably did it or did not do it, doesn't matter. Alone a choice to reallocate skillpoints will ultimately lead to players training up new toons as afk-ice miners/traders/production toons/research toons whatever initially, gauging that they could push those points over from professions requiring minimal SP-investment to profession requiring higher commitment and intended delayed returns on training.

Example, train Command Center Upgrades V to turn into Advanced Weapon upgrades 4,5 afterwards. You got to admit that this is stupid.

The reason why we should be allowed to retrain skills is due to the EVER changing nerfs and buffs that have been introduced. For example, drakes use to be the best before but now they are kinda meh. People trained all these skills to fly drakes but the game developers then changed the game and left them with skills they no longer use.

Same with mining, the barges went through significant changes as well as the haulers yet the skills we trained were based on a previous version of the game.

The game changes every year, why cant we adjust our skills? I think it's fair considering how often ships and modules have changed and 2 million points a year is NOT going to hurt eve.

Eve is an ever changing and evolving sandbox and we should not be forced to keep old skills which are no longer relevant in the latest version.
This is typical FOTM chasing, without looking at the overall picture and balance.

The funny thing is, you would most likely be the first to complain if the CCP Devs did not fix OP ships. The whole point of balance, is to bring other ships into line with those that shine above them. You noticed that drakes did this and took full advantage of that situation. But guess what, the Devs also noticed and balanced the ship line.

This game, as all MMOs before, are subject to change. You even agree to this when you sign on. CCP would be derelict in their duty if they did not rebalance the game from time to time.

As far as the whole skill change was concerned, we were informed well over a YEAR before that change took place. You also could fly after, what you could fly before.

So no there is still no need for this and as yet, you have failed to show a single one. 'I WANT' isn't a valid reason for change.
