First of all I've to say that I love the idea of the SSE, and I can see how he's going to create some nice interaction between players, but I think there is some aspect that could be improve to make it even better.

As an explorer myself I see it as a great opportunity to make the explorer life a bite more spicy because when I read description of the SSE it's yell to me « Let's play the bank robber ! » which is something that lack in eve.

There is different kind of robbers, some will try to do it the hard by going right to the SSE and fight anyone trying to defend it, some other are going to be the fast guy in interceptor who scoop in and out too fast to be caught, but as an explorer, in my hacking stealth frigate I see myself as the kind of thief in tight leather suite with a heavy Night Vision Googles (you know, the one who make some green light that no one seem to notice), jumping trough the night over lasers to steal the biggest jewel in the world without being noticed.

So how could we make it possible ? Simple enough : the SSE is pretty much a "Databank", amirite ?
So why not use our shiny Data analyzer on it ?

To make it feasible you just have to replace the Broadcast sent when someone is near the SSE by a Broadcast sent when someone is starting to access it, and increase the opening time to a solid minute.

If successfully hacked, for the next 30 seconds the bubble and broadcast of the SSE are disactivated and the accessing time is reduce to 10 seconds. Congratulation you are a master thief.

But if you fail a special broadcast is send (something flashy and red) and the SSE use some virus countermeasure who lock, neut and web (something ultra strong, close to the Concord one) for 60 seconds the fool who tried to and failed to steal the bounties, enjoy your death.

And then BAM you got some nice boost to the explorer experience which can be a bit boring in Null when all the Site are done.

Cherry on the cake, if the you succeed with the hack no notification is send when you access the ESS so no one will ever know who was the master thief, but if you failed a notification with your name is send to everyone that contributed to the pool.

For the level of difficulty of the hacking himself, the easier way to treat it should be to tailor it to the amount of ISK contained in the ESS, making a multi million ISK ESS extremely hard to hack, making it require a solid level 5 in hacking with a proper hack ship and Analyzer II.

A second point I wish to bring here is the fact that SSE would be a totally awesome structure to add on Low Sec too. After all, the Empires control on Low Sec is not super strong and a bit of help should be appreciated.
I pretty sure that every Low Sec inhabitants are going to be happy to see some new fighting points in space.

The only problem here is to make sure that the SSE cant be used as a simple bubble to caught some people warping across the system.
Even in Null Sec, I dont think that the SSE was designed to be an awesome Bubull with a convenient alarm to tell you if someone fall to the trap.

You just have to increase the effect of the ESS on Null and report his actual effect on Low.
First of all pass the payout for killing pirates to 90% of the actual bounty in Null Sec and 95% of the actual bounty in Low Sec.
Then make that with an SSE active you only get 70% of the bounty in Null Sec and 80% in Low Sec making the SSE stocking a value equal to 30 to 40% of the bounty generated in Null Sec and 20 to 25% of the bounty generated in Low Sec.
Thus making a Null Sec with a full running SSE generating 110% bounty and a low 105%.

One last note : You sould display on the SSE window it payout value, I think it's important to know if the ESS is at is maximum or not.

Ps. Please don't mind my english, I'm a simple French Galent explorer. end inglesh iz ard.

I like this idea. One thing exploration lacks is the PvP feeling, other them "race other explorers and run from everyone else". You should totally be able to steal from real players with the Relic and Data modules

Yeah I'm totally convinced that a large quote for an off topic reply is useful.
Thank you.

Its useless to bring these Deployable to Low, cause most of my teammates are Tagfarmers. Theres no bounty on that...
Cause they sell an Item.

Other things they didnt do, nor care about.

If I'm not mistaken I think it's false, the Clone transporter have a 1M (or around) bounty, and when you belts for the tag, you usually kill all the rat you find to maximize the repop of the clone, so there is plenty of bounty here.
