With the upcoming nerf the market is awash with Supercarriers and getting them sold is a fair bit of effort. Seems lots of people don't want their space coffins anymore when they can't use them to rat effort free.

I'm setting up an agent service where you tell me what you've got for sale or want to buy, I'll match you up, arrange the transfer of goods and take a cut of the profits.

The Short version
Send me an evemail with what supercarrier you want to buy/sell.
Include what TZ you are in, whether you want/have a holding alt to go with the ship because otherwise I'll just have to ask you for that later.
I'll take care of the rest including escrow arrangements with somebody we all trust.

If you want to know the nuts and bolts of how it'll work, keep reading.

In detail

I intend to run 3 queues :
- Expedited Sales (with holding alts only)
- Brokered Sales
- Supercap Buyers

I'll take Supercarriers and for an additional sum I'll also take a holding character that you have for that supercap. I expect each carrier to be travel fit (cloak + smart bombs + T2 cap recharges). Any officer mods, fighters, drones or other valuables on board will be calculated separately at the midpoint of Jita buy/sell prices (market items) or WTB/WTS contract values (non-market).

Here's how I plan to run the queues :

Expedited Sales
Evemail me with the the type of ship you are selling, your minimum sale price and which region the ship is currently located in.
To use this route you must be willing to get rid of a pilot for the supercarrier as well as the hull itself. As it involves a character transfer it falls under the CCP character transfer rules and guidelines here which act as a minor safety net.
Unless this service proves wildly more popular than I expect my stock of supercarriers will only be 1, maybe 2, ships at most. I'll be buying ships as I find buyers so expedited doesn't mean "sale now", it means I take on all of the transfer arrangements and you get the cash a couple of weeks earlier with a whole lot less hassle.

A sale will involve the transfer of the pilot + ship to me with an initial payment of 2x PLEX value for the character. This means your are effectively being reimbursed for your transfer fees. Once I am able to log in to the character I will confirm that it is indeed piloting a supercarrier, it has some jump fuel and also that it isn't logged out at some suddenly hostile supercarrier killing POS. Once these facts are confirmed I'll screenshot the supercarrier with it's cargo / fittings and sort out payment for the ship.
Notes:
- This is not suitable for transfer of highly skilled pilots, it is intended to take a holding alt off your hands with a bit of reimbursement as it provides me with some convenience value. I am aiming to buy and sell ships, the character part is a side issue. If you really want to go down this route with a skilled pilot then evemail me and we can discuss this.
- This method takes care of your selling headaches regarding buyer timezone / location etc. I take on the risk of transporting the ship to the sales location, fuel costs, dead cyno ships and possible failed sales.
- CCP character sales rules require the money for a character sale to be transferred to the character being sold (weird but true). If you prefer then we can agree a character value of 1 ISK and a separate ISK transfer via escrow service of your choice (though I'll veto relatively unknowns).

Brokered Sales
This is a standard ship sale. You tell me what timezone you operate in and what you're selling. I find a buyer. I arrange the transfer location and time and a mutually acceptable escrow service. You meet up, swap ship pilots, most of the escrow'd cash goes to the seller and my cut comes to me from the escrow arrangements.
Notes:
- Under this arrangement you will be keeping the current supercarrier pilot.
- *You* are responsible for transporting the ship to the sales location.
- The escrow service to be used needs to be agreed by all 3 people involved - buyer, seller and myself.

Supercap Buyers
This is my important queue. Without you I end up with my ISK stuck in a ship I don't personally want.
Evemail me what hull you are after, whether you want a holding alt or not, what TZ you are mostly active in and how much you are willing to pay. I'll match you up with my "for sale" stock and get the details sorted out.
If you want any modules above and beyond the travel fit include that in the evemail, I'll try and match that up with my stock of sellers.
Notes:
- All being equal it's first come first served.
- If somebody is offering to pay more for a ship than you are, they'll get one first. This is a business and the higher the sale price the more valuable my cut is.
- If I'm transferring a ship to you then it'll be via escrow. If I'm transferring a pilot + ship to you then the character will be logged out at a pre-agreed location under supervision of yourself or a 3rd party you trust.

Q&A will be in a second post due to character limits.

General Q&A
If you have any questions please feel free to evemail me, I'm mostly active around Downtime so that's when I'm likely to respond to any mails but I may well hop on to Evegate at other times of the day.

Q) Come off it, this toon is a x days old and you want me to believe it has cash for some supercarriers?
A) No, DUH! The toon has a couple of mill ISK to pay for CSPAs and that's it. My main however has more cash.
The new character is there because it's an easy name to remember *and* it provides an anonymous buffer. My main is in one of the major Null-sec coalitions. If I post using that then coalition members will want a friends discount, coalition enemies won't want to sell to me and basically it'll be bad for my business.
I expect to sell a couple of supercarriers at most in the run up to the nerfs and a month or so afterwards, there's no point in drastically cutting such a small market before I start.
This also means it'll be at least a week before I finish training up enough cyno & ship skills to be able to move a purchased carrier to a sale location.

Q) You're called Secondhand Supers but you only talk about supercarriers. What about Titans?
A) I was feeling more ambitious when I made the character, as I worked through the details I decided I simply don't want to give myself the Titan related extra headaches. If you really want to use me to sell a Titan then evemail me but being honest you can probably sell it easily enough yourself and get a better deal than I can offer you. All I'd be providing you with would be an anonymous front end.

Q) Why is this list so short?
A) It's all that sprang to my mind, I'll add more as people ask me stuff.

just a hin ...

If the "lazy" or make-it-simple guys are your target audience you should keep it simple. At least a short summery would help. From my experience this is to much to read (to much rules and explanations). Also, people are most interested in one thing, when using such a service. Do I get my money or is there a chance getting scammed? So you should focus more on this one. For example offer 3rd party use and again, simple and clear rules.

If this is a scam anyway, take it as a free hint for your next try Blink

Cheers Sangard,
I'll juggle my initial post a bit, mostly to cater for the tldr crowd.

I thought I was pretty clear with the rules but I'll see if I can't tighten up the english a little. I went for lots of words because we're talking about significant amounts of ISK and I figured people would want to see some detail before risking it.

Scam wise, the risk is always there for both parties, more in some places than others. There are some alliances that pride themselves in killing supers, I'm hoping to avoid buying one of their surplus ones and then finding it turned in to an immediate killmail for them.
Queue 2 and 3 operate much like a normal SC sale except with me doing the grunt work of matching a buyer and a seller and doing prep work. Queue 1 is faster.

Well luck seems to be going my way so far.
My first offer to sell and my first request to buy were for the same hull type, now I "just" need to get the admin details sorted so that the trade goes through.

Well today's bump / update is far less exciting.
I'm back to looking for somebody who wants to sell a Wyvern (as I have a buyer for one of those) as well as any other supercarriers in general.
The previous seller was only willing to use their own corp CEO as the "neutral" escrow. While the Mittani is a well known figure in Eve his responsibilities are to his own corp and so that doesn't work as an escrow mechanism in my book or in my current buyers book.

To the top again. Tomorrow I'll be visiting EACS to scatter around some jump clones in case I get fed up of being a (slowly AFK) travelling advertising man.

You will still be able to rat effort free in your super after the patch, fighters aren't getting nerfed and only noobs use normal drones in a super when ratting.

BTW

Free bump for your scam

I'm sure there was a fighter resolution nerf in there but I can't spot that now.
The loss of drones makes it harder to clear out tacklers and the aggression timer changes mean you can't log-offski so the risk is definitely up.
