Eve can look incredible in higher resolutions. Everything depends on your video card and system power. a 4K TV/Monitor will take a lot of power to run and have everything turned on.

Dual Screen Windowed mode @1080p each side.

Well being as new tvs are being released, I plan on upgrading my plasma to one of these overpriced models with super high definition, and getting an oculus rift. So will we be supporting 4k resolution or should I just touch my nipples while staring at your daughters camwhoring for handouts on twitch.tv?

Remember that typing can be hard if you lose your bearings on your keyboard and you can't see the keyboard. This is one of the issues with the Rift.

You really don't want to look at EVE textures (especially nebulas) on huuuuge TVs etc. even on 24" monitor they're to blurry for current times, that's why we please so much about HD textures.

I think you can go get nipple cream if you rly want.

Eve is about Capital ships, WiS, Boobs, PI and Isk!

As far as I'm aware EVE is only compatible with resolutions up to 1920x1200 - while it can run at higher resolutions, such as dual/tri screen setups, I think 4k will actually be TOO much for it; no so much the UI but the textures that the ships currently have; they will appear vile and hideous (no offence towards the Art Crew) and remind you of the late 90's/early 00's.

Not really, no. In fact, it doesn't even make sense.

2560x1440 here. Works just fine, looks just fine, provides nearly enough real-estate for all the windows (at least with 90% UI scaling).
More screenspace = less screenspace. ^^

1920 x 1080 on a 42" here.

Looks stunning but it stretches the Auld peripheral vision in terms of local-over view when looking at ither one.
The game scales fine but the meshes most of the model looks a little ropey when you get in close.

Would love that high resolution texture ppl are calling for.

Personaly i would take this instead of k4, ultra wide 21:9 aspect ratio running 2560x1080 pixels resolution.

I run multiple clients at 5760x1080 in borderless windowed mode (forgot what eve's name is for it). That resolution for single client requires about 3/4ths the processing power that 4K does (rough estimate, approx 6 million pixels instead of 8 million). Eve can run at any resolution your computer can handle.

I'm using a radeon 7970 video card, and even thats over kill, so it shouldn't take that much power to run eve at 4K. The largest issue is that you need a display port out or dual hdmi cables to handle the data at 60 fps. A single hdmi cable can only handle 30fps at 4K resolution.

So in the end you had to buy your own character, huh?

I mean, I'm all for a good troll, but Character Bazaar? Man, that's just mean.

Wants 4K support.....when we don't even have HD textures yet...and DX11 client still bugged.....

As for the whole nipple rubbing thing.... no..just no. Visions of those horrible scenes from 'Little Nicky' flash up at the mention of it.

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

Running EVE at the same resolution here without problems and it looks good! In fact I think this is one reason, among many more, that EVE is so popular - it is a game that can be played on your very average PC/laptop - something that other new space-sim/dog-fighting game being developed can't.

Put your index fingers on the F and J keys on your keyboard, notice anything? If not, you're either using a poor keyboard, or some hipster DVORAK-type layout.
