For the love of god can someone help me find a use for this ship?

Not enough fitting for a decent tank,
Too slow
No 'gimmick'
Weapons system is a joke

I've been flying cerbs on the test server for 2 days trying to find some kind of niche where it should work. So far I just get curb stomped by everything. It's a combination of a terrible weapons system and the ships own inadequacies.

I've sunk millions of SP in to flying this ship and I'm sick of being owned by everything. I fully admit I could be doing with wrong but at the point where I have no range control and super low EHP I am on the verge of shelving this ship. The same story with cal navy ships - they don't get flown because they're terrible and they're terrible because missiles are terrible on top of being pathetically slow.

What are you doing with it, brawling??? / what are your trying to kill?

Orbit at 24kms, rack of hams. damage controll, reactor core, and bcu's in lows. And buffer fit your mids with what is left. Cant remember if cerb has mwd bonus, but if it dosnt its still pretty quick with afterburner.

its not fast enough to kite. Full HG snakes and 2x overdrives in lows still hits 2500m/s max speed before OH with my skills.

Got my **** pushed in by a deimos just before too, total joke of a ship.

I dunno how you start fighting, but even I able to kite ppl, also hamls will dps-tank you, especially If you're not the only cerb in a fleet.

2500+ with no any sub-warp speed implants, and non-perfect skills. (2 nanos in low)

The only issue with this setup is damage application... which can be easily solved with a "helper" equipped with a target painter.



Basically, the Cerberus is a shield version of the Sacrilege... except with greater emphasis on long range and speed.

You need off grid booster, and falcon alt... that's how you make every ship win all fights in eve.

I'm a relatively respectable citizen. Multiple felon perhaps, but certainly not dangerous.

Nothing fitted with Heavy Missiles, that's for sure. Paper DPS on them is a joke, because you won't get it actually.

Of course its SiSi so assume HG crystals and 5% implants. I assume he has them too so those can be scaled off if you like.

Stats aren't amazing and I did eventually get 1v1'd by a deimos who I assume was fully decked out. My SiSi toon is 5mil SP out of date though so these days I would be using blue pill at least. I don't assume but I guess he could have been boosted with exile. Unknown degrees of OGB there as well.

It's a crap fit but what can you do?

Yes, sure, let's fly a purely experimental fit live on TQ where every loss costs me time or money to replace... OR
fly on SiSi with t2 fits which will accurately represent what I expect to be using. Ain't no faction webs/scrams and other cheese fits on SiSi because you literally can't buy any. Just thought you ought to know.

Know what? That you're ignorant of that fact that you can, in fact, buy faction and deadspace modules on SiSi, and that most of them end up hoarded away down in the PvP approved areas by insurance scammers and those who are rich on TQ?

Or should I know the fact that many people go to SiSi specifically to PvP with things they would never PvP with on TQ, such as all high grade and +5 clones, T2 rigs, etc., which tends to skew your own results when trying to test a more realistic (?) fit?

In solo and smallscale the Cerb is outperformed by
- Deimos, dual rep
- Ishtar, ASB or active shield
- Vagabond, active shield

The Deimos is way faster, more DPS, better DPS application, better tank
The Ishtar is a little faster, more DPS, better DPS range, similar DPS application, similiar tank
The Vagabond is faster, more DPS, better DPS application, better tank

In gangs, the Cerb sucks because the Ishtar does everyting better. The HAMs are the worst weapon system of all close/medium ranged ones, even Laser are better. HAMs sucks because explo radius is with faction ammo+standard crash booster only 100, most Cruiser and Hacs will laugh at you.

After the RLML nerf the Cerb lost it's niche of being a support ship in killing tackle.

In short, Cerb sucks a lot, i sold all 10 i had bought before immediatly after the RLML nerf.

Gonna need some citation for that. Of all the kills I've seen and made on SiSi never really see any deadspace or faction stuff. Specifically the market is only seeded with T2 gear so while your version of reality is possible it's not really plausible.
