Looking for WH Training and Advice

I'm really intrigued by the prospect of living in a WH with the goal eventually finding my own place in the universe. I also like the RP aspect of charting the unknown and working on settling and colonization of new worlds. Currently I'm working on gaining interest of a number of others to join in, but as I stated, this is a LONG TERM goal so I fully don't expect to get into it right away or any time soon at that.

What I am most curious about is what skills are suggested to have, what kind of attitude and mannerisms I need to adopt in terms of WH's and for anyone willing to take the time to actually train me some, I'm even willing to pay.

I haven't really found my niche yet, but I know what I want to do but I've unfortunately have had limited time so my accounts older than my experience.

Any help would be much appreciated!

Hello Mr Louvaki.

Depending on the exact scope and level of commitment you're expecting, I may be able to help a little.

I'm more than happy to give some advice and help you experience some of the facets of wormhole life in relative safety. Plus being a roleplayer myself I'm always happy to communicate IC or OOC.

Just convo Erica in-game or shoot off a eve mail sometime if you're interested in talking further.

Welcome to the best place of Eve in my very biased opinion.

In regards to skills, I would definately recommend investing SP in scanning skills and have most of them to 4. It will make what can be the most tedious part of the game less tedious. Also using a cov ops cloak on a ship is highly suggested while scanning.

Things you can't put SP into will be learning how to DScan properly (there are a few good vids out there on this)

Attitude wise, you need to accept that any ship you take into WH space is already dead. You will get ganked/blobbed. Just accept it when you enter the WH.

Like everyone else we run a pub channel aswell (LSKYL) however don't join it unless you are thick skinned and can handle a bit of friendly trolling (our whole corp is full of them)

Best of luck mate,

That depends on how many you have accounts (concurrent players) available. You definitely need scanning (all 4) on all alts and cov-ops frig on some alts. Read about wormholes, its mechanics, available systems and anomalys. Talocan united tutorials are great. You have to first asses your resources and aim for propper class of hole. With this resolved you can be there in a month (up to C4) for propper utilization of C5-6 you need capitals which takes 4-5 monts of training.

You can try few daytrips in drake into C2 which are often found in high sec.

For starting any permanent presence youll also need at least 3B isk up front and lot of time for hauling and setting up pos. It surprised me at first how many iteron V trips one large pos takes. (1B for pos + fuel, 1B for POCOs + planetary facilities, 0,5B for some PvE/PvP ships, 0,5B for wormhole itself) Finding a hole is tedious job. Especially if you know which type you want. Buying it is much faster and cheaper if you use the time for ratting instead of looking for empty hole.

So if you want to go WH it doesnt take that much time. Only a bit of isk and balls and a lot of reading.

Open a chat with me if you like- I don't know everything but I don't mind helping any new players out.

I remember when wormholes were new to me and half the fun is finding out about the way of life.
