As you should all be aware, CCP has launched a fleet of battleships to engage capsuleers in normal space. These ships are T2 PvP fit and contain the following items in cargo
- Noble Store Items
- PLEX Items.

Each ship appears to contain at least 2 plexes and at least 1 noble store item.
In contrast, capsuleers are having to purchase and fit PvP ships or replace dead PvP ships in the engagements.

So, discuss ramifications of this...
I'll start with ammo/warp scramblers/warp disruptors going up in price and PLEX/Nex items taking a small hit to price.

Do you know any numbers on fleet size and such?

That assumes that CCP manages to kill something.

Are you kidding me? Ammo/warp scramblers going up in price? The 300-400 odd ships that died in Tama total are a drop in the bucket compared to the sum total of PvP losses, and major 0.0 fleet battles with more losses don't even cause price fluctuations in these kinds of goods.

I also suspect that the amount of plexes dropped is pretty insignificant, but I have no actual ideas about the size of that market.

Several thousand PLEXes are traded in Jita (daily, I think). The 50 odd plexes would just be a blip.

Just above 2000 PLEX everyday in JITA.

Much of that volume is the same PLEX being flipped, you know that.

CCP's tech II whelp fleet loot will not have any significant impact.

I think it's cool that they filled their cargo holds with goodies. Good on them.

It seems that many CCP pilots used large amounts of high quality pirate faction ammo.

Usually this ammo is extremely rare and horded until alliance tournament.

The amounts dropped could seriously depress prices for the short/medium term.

So buy them out and keep selling at elevated prices? vOv

Cyno's lit, bridge is up, but one pilot won't be jumping home.

I have 91m ISK across all my characters and have never traded in pirate faction ammo before. ^^

edit: I don't have to be affected by any given change to be bitter about it.

It is highly unlikely that ALL trades have a middleman and only a negligible amount have more than one middleman.
Even if ALL trades would have a middleman, you're still looking at above 1000 PLEX actually going from PLEX creators to PLEX end-users.
All in all, I would guesstimate that the actual amount is somewhere just below to the middle, so, say, somewhere about 1400 PLEX per day or thereabouts.

Considering Jita / The Forge accounts for very roughly a half of the total trade, we can guesstimate a total amount of around 80k PLEX being shifted from creators to end users game-wide on a monthly basis, which after accounting for some stockpiling and the occasional NEX usage comes up as very roughly one quarter of the total EVE account population, which sounds about right.
