Now in fairness to TEST + friends (BORG, Templis, etc...)....

I have talked to a few Caldari pilots and we both agree that the one problem with the bulk of Calmil balling up into one system (Innia) is that it actually ruined the multiple small fleet opportunities that occur at the 5-10 man size. No Gallente alliance or corp can take an entire coalition at the 40+ man size without advance notice. The irony is that so many Caldari corps moved to Innia looking for action, but it had the opposite effect. Spread out a bit more amongst multiple systems and you'll find better small gang action.

Speaking from the Templis perspective here for a moment. We still ran a lot of 5-10 man gangs. Those big 40+ TEST fleets had very little to do with our game, aside from one or two pilots who would link up with them occasionally (almost every single feet they had was open to militia). 90% of these TEST fleets would base their entire objective on going to Eha and fighting there. Our 5-10 man templis & friend gangs that we ran daily had to go looking elsewhere for pvp. Further, because 40 man fleets attract attention a lot of the times the Gal hot spots would be dead. So it still had a punishing effect on us although we did get a lot of good fights that way.

You also mentioned our cruiser fleet fight the other night Deen, and even though it wasn't the best on our part, I gotta say it felt good to have a real Calmil Cruiser gang (non-test) fighting a proper Galmil cruiser gang. I for one did have a lot of fun than I've had in a while.

Eha was the most violent system in Eve outside of Hi-sec for the last week of October, the entirety of November and the first week and a half of December. Round the clock at a minimum 20 man gangs running plexes in one system is not "trying to make isk" its called trying to kick someone out, namely Galmill. There were fights in Eha where TEST, unable to deal with sniper Corms and Kestrels, resorted to warping massed numbers of destroyers in and out of the plex. The idea being we simply couldn't kill them quickly enough before the timer ran down. We would kill dozens of them and still lose the plex. Again, that is not about making isk or 'gf' its about taking an objective.

... I'd be ropable with leadership if it was my alliance personally.

Bolded relevant parts in case anybody missed it.

On behalf of my small 100 man corp that had to withstand a 2 month onslaught from a 3k man alliance and a 4k man coalition right next door, I just wanted to say,

GF.

Well that, and pound for pound, we're still better than you

Good luck in null. And good luck to the only alliance that is probably going to stay in Innia since all the band wagoners are leaving. You're gonna need it :)

Not sure what else I'm forgetting but happy holidays. Feliz navida

We will be there to kill them.

In a way I miss fw. Is nice not to need 15 guys just to survive the bubble camps. Most of my leaving work was solo or 2-man recon stuff and it was good.

Good fights, farewell. I knew TEST would leave eventually, I am sad that it was so soon. I hope another 0.0 entity comes trundling along soon to fill the gap.

theres already ripples between test and emp ... emp`s dread fleet diaf`d the other night and asked for tests backing to which a troll post went up on kugu stating that test couldn`t back them up because there dread cache was stolen wen test members jumped ship to emp........

Dunno if test can truly get past a`lot of there members jumping ship to emp after fountain and taking anything that wasn`t nailed down with them

I think they probably could have if it had taken a little more time before they had to ally with EMP but it looks like the wounds are still a bit too fresh to be completely ignored.

I think all of Eve will get a read on how this TEST EMP alliance will work out over the next few weeks.

Its unfortunate, that TEST did not heed advice that was given to them when they joined FW.

1. They were warned. Blob tactics don't work. FW doesn't see a juicy fleet and drop cynos on them. FW works in small roving bands and best when they are spread across the entire FW area.

2. Small Fleets setup with cruisers and support would get a Gal Mil response. Especially if they roam the fleet past the Gal Mil strongholds and Saturdays and Sundays. You could have trained lots of junior FC's in this way.

3. Blobing 20 frigs into a novice isn't an efficient use of your time. I can see now, that you have to basically buy the LP you were able to get and now wait until the markets re-set to really have your FW investments pay off. So sadly you need to start losing the war.

4. Finally I am sort of sorry that I missed it. The gate camps at Innia were predictable, but easily avoided. But that's beside the point. TEST. If you could learn anything from the experience is that you need to "hire" the right people for the right job. Create a culture that learns to adapt and excel. From the commentary I see, you failed. Better luck SBU bashing.
