Removal of POS?

with all the mobile units at hand, and enroute to us in updates, expansions etc. Where do i find any intel on POS, where there is hints and word on a complete removal of it from game? Seen people talk about it in various threadnaughts on forums, but no link to read more about it, and googling did'nt give me other than some fun threads on how to operate a POS in HS (Carebear runned POS'es with free intel are delightful reading)

Just noticed lately there has been a huge load on people whinning to get the POS removed, blown out of eve, far out on the side of Mount Whateverest. I just went curious on exactly why?

I would ask you to Link the threads with these massive amounts of people expressing their opinion about this because I haven't seen a lot of complaining about POS removal. I have however seen a lot of people asking for a POS revamp.

It is about time CCP gives us a good POS revamp, not a removal.

I believe the threads that you saw were regarding the removal of a specific POS, not the removal of all POS's from the game.

There is a widespread view that the POS mechanics are so convoluted and terrible that it would be better to eliminate it and start from scratch than to try to fix them.

tl;dr pos code is too broken to fix so they will probably replace it and i look forward to the day we have a better system

Yeah, I had a similar post once, in a thread about people's worries that CCP was gonna screw up WiS... and we all saw how flawlessly that went....
