The technological cold war between the empires has expanded. The Caldari and Amarr empires have led co-military R&D projects to produce a new form of portable cynosural field in a compact missile form with onboard scanning equipment.

Using up-to-date Caldari missile hardwares and Amarrian scan probes have led to the invention of the Cyno-missile probe.

Using a currently classified launching platform the missile allows for system scanning and use of a cyno as expected of both formats. What is new is that co-local scanning of an area gives real-time movement and location of ships in a specified area. Using this you could essentially precision place a cyno above, below, or to the sides of an enemy capital fleet. Co-local scanning is done in-fleet with the scouting vessel in conjuction with a command ship and the launcher.

Increasing accuracy and duration can be improved with relating skills.

It has been determined in pre-production that the use of this requires a good deal of material to produce and of fairly high m3 usages in ship bays. production requires the material that of any missile, cyno fuels, and probes.

Further research came to the conclusion that such a project is not feasible now nor in the near future, because resources and know-how are not sufficient enough for the proposed design and form factor.
