Sorry I think that is even sillier. Would be a coding nightmare, on top of a potentially server crippling performance issue.

The bigger issue is, it's not broken, so it doesn't need a fix.

When you say "entering plexes", do you mean that the LE flag would be triggered on landing on the beacon, or on activation of the accel gate?

I have doubts about either working, to be honest.

when landing on grid of course. Could be implemented in verious ways. E.g proximity to the FW beacon. Warpin lies well within beacon range.

if it is properly implemented it doesn't matter at all. Client would just display those limited engagement timers, server validates actions when they happen (e.g you fire at someone). Standard "lazy" implementation. No need to flag everybody against everybody when they enter, they get flagged on demand. LET would happen anyway in a fight. It would just happen earlier.

suspect flag would be easier but it has other problems since it is a global timer and sticks after they leave the plex. LET are private between players in an engagement. Thats what they are designed for. And you engage by entering the plex.

the flags would happen anyway, no performance or coding issues here.

Those people are mostly all farmers and therefore their arguments are invalid. Of course they would want it changed...

farmers don't fight and use trial alts. They cloak, or warp away. The whole topic is fairly uninteresting for farmers.
