You are all ignoring the problem as if on purpose. We aren't talking about pvp and your perfect internet connection.
If the connections were so perfect why does your ship emergency warp after a DC ?
CCP is a company that wants to sell their product in as many people as possible in as many countries as possible to get more money. Even in countries with not so perfect internet.
It has nothing to do with hardware.
Drop your insultingly Elitist attitude.
You aren't better just cause you happen to be born in a country with better internet connection.
Thats why your ship emergency warp after a DC.
With your reasoning they should remove that too. Cause nobody DC in this game. And nobody rage quit after they lost a 1.5 bill marauder due to DC.
Happier clients = More money for CCP.
What are you afraid of, losing your advantage of a better internet connection ? I don't understand.

Allow ship to e-warp after bastion ends. Nobody should have a problem with this and it's the obvious solution.

Enjoying the rain today? ;)

Also saying "get better internet" is ******* stupid. People often have rather limited options for internet access. CCP recognizes this which is why we have e-warp in the first place.

wow, if you have DC issues, fit something that can perma-tank. Or better yet, can at least tank for 2 minutes while you reconnect. There are plenty of excellent mission battleships. I think its a bit silly that people want to fit paper-thin tanks for maximum isk/hr and then want to be protected when their connections drop. There are plenty of ships with enough hp or tanks that can run long enough to keep you alive for a long time, even if you're tackled when you DC. You can also fit your marauder to tank for a long time with bastion active, and have the bastion auto-repeat until the dps is lower, that way you'll still be tanking away when you come back.

Allowing bastioned ships to warp is a dumb idea that defeats the purpose of the module.

Would it be great if the e-warp was saved until bastion ended? sure. Is this required to safely use a marauder? lolno.

Couple issues with this.

For whatever reason ccp will not give t2 bonuses to BS in simple style. You only get this with bastion. Its not that many under tank it, its that if they over tank to ride out dc's it kind of defeats the purpose of the bastion boost. Especially when stacking comes into play for resists.

When ISP's do unplanned maintenance, it can be more than 2 minutes. In case of bad unplanned you are at the mercy of main equipment reboots. Some cisco devices do not reboot and load iOS so fast.

I know on my macbook pro I get a varying number of times I can leave eve and reenter before I do the double click that goes nowhere. Force quit most times does not clear this. Reboot does. Worth noting I did not have this issue until the switch to the current log on method inplace. I am not thrilled about the launcher. One could say get a pc then. Punchline....pc launcher when it gets a hair up its ass runs like ass too.

Marauders not getting full t2 resistances has nothing to do with anything in this thread.

This is a decent point. As I said previously, if you're concerned about long DC's, you can leave bastion mode on and fit a tank that can last a long time. Or even better, only use bastion mode when its needed. I do think the best solution would be to get a single e-warp attempt after bastion ends, but I'm just saying that this is something that a player can plan for or compensate for, and of course there are other ship choices or fittings choices. This is the price of running a 2-slot tank and relying on bastion mode for every mission.

Ewarp turns off all high slot modules, including bastion. So you lose that nice uber tank and sit there like an idiot as it doesn't attempt to ewarp again. It basically kills you if you're cloaked or in bastion and can't warp out.

No idea why it turns off active modules. My biggest gripe with losing connection is it turns off cloaks. Why an emergency warp is necessary when you're cloaked is anyone's guess.

I can verify that if you're cloaked at a gate, you're obviously not under attack, and if you ewarp due to disconnect, when you're cloak turns off, you invariably are then under attack.

EWarp needs a complete (concentrating on logic) revamp.

LOL they are just trying to troll ya.

Its a good idea man.

people shouldn't be limited in what they fly, what modules they use or how they want to use them just because they dont live in the same country as the server, especially when eve is rather well known for its instability

CCP should fix the issue because there IS a issue. but i really doubt they ever will. not sure if they like the bugs/issues or if they are just really lazy Lol whole game is a work around.

If u live in Aus, hopefully the NBN will help solve most of the connection problems eventually .. if the Libs still let it get rolled out

What the subject said, the dated DC/emergency warp mechanics are ill equipped to deal with such issues. And DC still happens way too often, I don't even talk about ISP issues.

There's a simple fix tho, instead of having a speed penalty of -100%, make it -99.99% or something.

Same effect in pvp, since the guy would most likely be pointed anyway AND fixed the DC/emergency warp nonsense since you can still snail crawl to warp speed in the event of a DC, everyone's happy.

I use my Note 2 4G with LTE connection, not a single DC with EVE since I started this game few months ago.

Who knows, maybe they'll make it one of the top features of next expansion !
