I was looking through some CCP lossmails on battleclinic, and noticed that they were all carrying PLEXes! Lol

What other game company would fight their own players to give them free gametime?

Protip though: Nanobot accelerators are useless on buffer tanked ships. Also, use cap boosters instead of cap rechargers for PVP, and make use of the sacred DCU. And less dualtanking. Big smile

yes.. because 20 plex are going to change the price Roll

Tedium and difficulty are not the same thing, if you don't realize this then STFU about game design.

I'm sort of joking, if you didn't get the hint.

Also: I'm seeing 58 CCP ships destroyed, each with 2 PLEX. 50% drop rate means roughly 58 PLEX dropped, or $870 worth of gametime. Not a lot, but worth a chuckle.

Well spotted OP, this had completely skipped the attention of the community for the last 10 hours or so :P

Props to CCP for staging the event though ♥

Looks like they just wanted to leave some interesting and hopefully appreciated loot in their wrecks. Good on them tbh.

Yet another moron using his high school diploma to state the obvious.

To bad hes to stupid to see that any sort of super cap kill drops the same and usually more ISK value then those plexs.
Yet hes not on here saying Supercap blobs kills and loses are effecting PLEX prices.

You rather plexs or deepspace mods to drop from CCP cargo?

Incorrect. In fact, this would do nothing to PLEX prices, as people getting deadspace drops = more people using the isk from those drops to buy PLEX = higher PLEX demand = higher PLEX prices. Of course, this also means players buying the mods will lose isk, so overall it will keep things exactly the same, because it's a transaction between PLAYERS.

On the other hand, a PLEX getting injected into the economy, at no cost to the players, is pretty much CCP saying, "here, have free gametime." This is not what happens when somebody drops shiny modules, or when large quantities of isk shifts hands between players, and if you think it is, you should read up on how the EVE economy works.

Now, if this was actually an ISK injection - if the CCP ships each had 500mil bounties, then yes, this would drive up the PLEX prices, as the isk is materializing from thin air, meaning less people need to buy PLEX with real money and more people can buy it with in-game money. Of course, this isn't the case, and your argument failed to mention this, so I'll just assume you know nothing about what you're talking about.

Basically:

Isk faucet = higher PLEX prices (bounties, missions, insurance)
Isk sink = lower PLEX prices (LP store, wardec fees)
PLEX faucet = lower PLEX prices (people buying PLEX with $15)
PLEX sink = higher PLEX prices (NeX store, people redeeming PLEX for gametime)

Transactions between players change nothing.

Either way, I'm not bitching, just making an observation.

Edit: Also, this line is golden:
