Hello. I am having issues with the launcher. Every time i start it up it crashes on me. Please help me

Same here. Tried repair.exe but that didn't help. I'm currently re-downloading the latest full client, and will try a re-install.

Try this, it worked for me. Launch the game without using the launcher, evefolder/bin/exefile. It eventually opened the launcher and started downloading and now it works as it should.

I don't touch ANYTHING in the client, because CCP can mistake that for client modification, and it is a huge hassle trying to get your accounts un-perma-banned by proving a GM / DEV told you it was okay.

Is there any workaround to reinstalling the whole client? I've already tried reinstalling the launcher and it didn't work.

I have 8 clients and really don't want to babysit 8 reinstalls and possibly lose settings Ugh

I'm using the 331.65 NVIDIA drivers that were released a couple months ago, they had no trouble with past Eve clients (just mentioning this because I've heard people talk about new drivers causing issues, which is not the case with me).

Just use the client executable directly. Simpler, less memory tied up in marketing.

I am loading from eve.exe directly, but it still brings up the broken launcher.

Also, I tried repair.exe but got "DBRunRecoveryError: (-30974, 'DB_RUNRECOVERY: Fatal error, run database recovery -- PANIC: fatal region error detected; run recovery')"

I had this problem yesterday. Tried the work arounds, even went so far as to play with native graphics and nothing helped with the launcher. I deleted the entire thing from my computer, emptied trash (just to make sure) and restarted the computer, redownloaded the client, installed, restarted and launched flawlessly. Now of course Aura thinks I'm a noob and is trying to get me to finish a tutorial and I have a borked overview. But I can deal with that.

Just yesterday I updated my graphics drivers to the latest from Nvidia myself. Now, the launcher starts, freezes, and causes an application hang. I just ran the repair tool and got this:

Quick edit: Ran the repair tool again and everything patched fine. Launcher still causes application hang.

Try clearing the EVE Launcher's cache from the settings panel.

It freezes up and goes "not responding" right after launching. Is there a way to manually delete the launcher's cache?

Same problem.
But when you use the eveexe file workaround to open the client yu can open the launcher as if nothing is wrong while the client is open. Wierd.

had the same issue.

I did how ever fix it by pasting another copy of eve into that folder(same as every time the launcher breaks). took 2 mins.

this is why you should always have more than one install of eve on your computer. the launcher its shite in a file

Ditto, third day in a row that I've had client problems... Normally no issues whatsoever... Restarting used to help, but now it's a dodgy fix at best. Still getting a "not responding" error.

I'll try the above fixes and hope for a patch.

UPDATE:

I managed to QUICKLY click the settings cog after I opened the launcher, which let me clear the cache and thus fixed my issue so far. Hope it sticks, good luck.

That did it, great thinking!

Just spam clicks on the spot that the gear appears and the settings window will pop up before it crashes.

CCP needs to look into this though, that's a pretty silly thing for players to have to do in order to fix a broken client.

Had the same problem with both on a mac and a windows 7 computer: launcher froze before you could do anything. On mac computer manually deleting cache files fixed the problem. On the windows computer, had to manually start the bin/exefile, and then it started working.

Dangit, my temporary fix isn't working anymore... I thought the patch fixed it, but now my client is freezing again. Only on my work computer though, my reg i7 works fine... Weird.

Now when I click the settings and clear the cache the launcher won't open back up.
