I just came from a lowsec fight agains the CCP fleet, we got some kills and then PL dropped supercaps everywhere, just like normal.

What I dont get is why CCP fit their ships like they never played eve before.

So why do this? Are they really that bad at eve, are they just lazy or do they not care enough to make a effort?

Could just be me, but i could care less how the ships are fit.

I think its awesome CCP took some time to get involved with the player base like this, and basically just drop loot.

I was involved a bit, and although it got a bit laggy, I thought it was an excellent diversion.

I totally agree, CCP are generally awesome and it was fun but this still makes me wonder...

What makes me wonder s how long it would take you and many others to come pouring out of the woodworks to cry about the invincible ccp fleet that instapops whetever they target if they had gone the other direction...

In fact CCP fits where much better than average EVE player fits are.

Maybe those could have been better, but there is not absolute truth what is best fit, some fits may be really good on some situation but be horrible elsewhere.

maybe some of the CCP players normally don't pvp? those fits look like what "i know what i'm doing in PVE, but NFC about pvp" pilots would fit

Tedium and difficulty are not the same thing, if you don't realize this then STFU about game design.

Because Large Core Defence Capacitor Safeguard II is totally worth fitting without a shield booster. Everyone knows that both shield and armor tank on the same ship is awesome! There were a lot of totally useless things on their fits...

Yeah some of those fits where foolish but I do have this to say. http://eve-kill.net/?a=corp_detail&crp_id=18170 351 kills 107 losses. Those arent bad odds now figure there where around 450 people shoting at them. Thats damn impressive. If they fits would have been optomised then it would have been tragic out there.

I would tend to believe that the CCP fleet "players" didn't have time to get or to think about some really good fleet fits. I bet they are more busy with other stuff ...like you know, developing and running this game?

That's how you fit when you get stuff for free and your only purpose is being loot pinata. And btw, they don't pve either. They're employees who would rather play real game in their free time, instead of dealing with you Eve tards even off work.Cool

That Napoc fit isn't terrible compared to some of their other fits, at least it doesn't have a nanobot accelerator rig.

The idea of a dual-tanked Mach is actually growing on me a bit, after some eft warrioring. Maybe not with that particular fit, but they have something going for them. TwistedTwistedTwisted

And active broadsword is a somewhat clever idea, since in-use WDFG's prevent remote assistance, so an active tank allows you to rep without logis. Of course, this is useless when so many ships are shooting you, so meh.

Hmm.

They may not have the skills to perma run them guns, with sinks, without the CCC.

Anyhow, I always get agro for mixing my tanks.

Ironically I know everyone else uses at least 2 tanks, 3 is normal and 4 tank types is quite common.

My Rifter has shield rigs, cos they is cheap, and a DCU, giving shield armer and hull buffs.

I also speed tank larger ships and power tank hybrid gun users, with my neut, and I have a armer rep, saved my ass twice today.

But I do end up in the clone tank quite often, so yea.

I think that means I use shield buffer, armer buffer hull tanks,active armer and speed tanking.

I am still waiting for someone with more kills, or a higher damage/isk kill ratio to tell me I am wasting my time with a tank.

Because realistically, tanks are for wimps, DPS is the only tank needed.

Pods can't shoot back y' see.

ok, shield rigs and armor rep are stupid. even if they are cheaper (not sure if serious)

I'm also able to tank 1/10 plex on shield, with my armortanked rifter, coz of the speedtang, but the the decisive is the fitted type of tank. (I've fitted projectil rigs)

The point is not, that it doesn't work, the point is, that it's more efficient to fit ONE decent tank, instead of two, or three half tanks (yea i know, 3 * 0.5 = 1.5 herpa derp)

REALLY PEOPLE ?? This is why CCP doesn't come out and have fun more often, its whinny little bitchs like this that complain about any small little thing. Who cares how they fit their ship. Last i checked its none of your business how another pilot fits a ship of theirs whether its CCP or some tiny lowsec corp. CCP just wanted to come out and have some fun. Live with it and grow up Pirate
