After 7 days I came to the conclusion that this game isn't for me. I am 7 days old was in a 1.0 security system, doing a mission in deadspace area a player named Parline followed me though 3 rooms and then preceded to pod me and kill me. so thanks for the memorys and have fun , I cancelled my sub

I am a 100% disabled war veteran from the USA, ((PTSD)post-traumatic stress disorder, (TBI)Traumatic brain injury, lose of use of 1 leg, loss of use of 1 arm, Loss of some brain functions).

I don't understand why you are telling us that you are leaving. You could have just stopped playing after the trial and been done. Is this post intended to get a specific reaction and if so, what reaction are you looking for?

That is my best attempt at the reaction you were looking for, forgive me if it is not adequate enough but this record is old and boring.

He already did.

If you had only been playing for a week, why do you have 6 accounts as claimed here? https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=4068397#post4068397

In Eve Online, when you undock you consent to PvP, that's the sort of game this is, there are no safe zones or special cases here.

If you want to play a game where you are guaranteed not to engage in PvP then you'll have to play some other MMO that has dedicated PvE zones or servers (Eve doesn't have those).

It's a shame to see someone waste so much money (on 6 accounts) without knowing what they were spending it on.

All the best.

They knew what they were spending it on, it's just his plan for P2W didn't work out as expected and now he's having a tantrum.

EVE should have a disclaimer/checkbox like "I am agree to pay money to become PvP content for others" to avoid confusion.

You're 7 days old, you don't have any stuff.

Sorry Eve didn't work out for you. Its not for everyone that is for sure. But getting blown up in a game about spaceships blowing up is hardly the end of the world. I've been blown up a few times. If i'd never been blown up, I'd have quit a long time ago.

OP,

My advice to someone who has survived so much RL adversity would be not to turn tail and retreat at the kind of adversity one finds in a 1.0 system in EVE. In my many years of playing this game, I've met and gotten to know a great many veterans and I've always found it something of a curiosity as to what draws them to this game and/or what keeps them playing. Because there are a lot of them here....and most of them somehow are finding ways to fit in. With that being stated though, I have also met and known vets who have either taken breaks from the game or stopped playing entirely due to their ptsd issues and the way it affected them in-game.

It isn't in CCP's purvue to make EVE less risk-averse, nor would doing so be in keeping with the theme of living in this dystopian universe we call home. This is a cutthroat place by design. But maybe if there are enough guys leaving with/for similar issues it does illustrate a need for more/better resources to connect former vets like yourself (or other disgruntled players for whatever reason) to one another in-game, possibly enriching the quality of their experience here or extending their stay. At minimum, maybe a player-driven channel could be created for this purpose but it would still require some promotion for folks to know it exists.

In any event, OP, I hope you'll reconsider your decision. Avoiding the kinds of nuts who harassed you initially isn't all that difficult and with enough practice, it becomes second nature. Stay aligned, watch local, tag bad dudes with neg statuses, etc. But removing all risk of attack from the game isn't a viable option. If you feel you were harassed in an exceptional way that violates the eula, you should file a petition.

Thank you for your service and no matter what you decide:

Fly safe. o7
