It is one of those things.. if you have to ask, you will never know.

Best thing to do is to join a corp/alliance that meets your goals and learn the ropes form them... it will take time. And even then, once you learn the technical details, you just may not have the chops for it.

That is so overdone. You go this route and you will be seen coming miles away!
