That'll never happen. Clearly a lazy miner (using an MTU to scoop his jetcans), so the likelihood of him hunting them down is nil.

Not at all. Came across a corp of miners in my Enyo a few days ago who had an MTU out. I aggressed, they pulled it, and a vexor showed up. The Vexor attacked me, the miners all put their drones on me, and I killed the Vexor but only because the miners pulled their drones and warped out. Finished the fight with the Vexor with 13% structure left, went and got reps, came back...

And all the miners were back in battlecruisers and HACS. Put up a fight anyway, nearly killed a Cerberus, but they took me down. It was a very good fight, and it was put up by miners.

That organized? I'm thinking not 'miners' but combat pilots taking a break from operations whilst they shoot the breeze over mumble or something.

See I like stories like this. It sure as **** beats the typical bitching and moaning from miners about gankers that we normally get here.

It's nice to know that not all miners choose to be victims.

Even better is that I think it illustrates a point. You lost your Enyo and you're not losing your **** on the forums? Maybe that is the real difference between gankers and miners.

Dear typical (but not all) hi sec miner,

A ship is just a thing. It can be replaced. The dignity and credibility you lose by posting venom and vitriol all over the Eve-O forums is harder to replace.

Love,

Maybe, but if they were, their combat and fitting experience was minimal. It still took four battlecruisers and their drones, plus the Cerberus to take me down, it took them ages and the Cerb nearly died, and really the only ship that did anything to me was a Myrmidon. Good for them for beating me, and beat me they did, but I've faced smaller forces that have beat me much faster.

I reckon they're either miners that dabble in pvp, or pvp'ers that dabble in mining. Either way, they've spread their time learning across both to the extent that their pvp is limited. And either way, they demonstrated that miners have the capacity to defend themselves.

No, but you are. This is called quote mining, because you are quoting me out of context. Allow me to rephrase: they demonstrated that all players have the capacity to defend themselves.

Additionally, you enquired above that they were "that organised?", but they really weren't, nor were they very good. The killed me through the use of sheer firepower alone, lost a Vexor and nearly lost a Cerb as well. Interestingly enough, if they had not warped out in the barges they were in and left their drones on my while I was fighting the Vex, they would have beat me then and not lost the Vex. I was in the process of reloading an ancil when they left, thinking the Vex was winning (since at that point in time, I had one rep and cap booster going and the Vex was taking me into structure). While they were gone, the ancil finished reloading, and my armour came back up with only 13% structure left. I finished off the Vex, ignored the pod and GTFO of there to rep before going back.

Bottom line is, they would not have lost anything if they'd just stayed with their drones on me. They didn't need a fleet of battlecruisers.

Shooting an MTU does not invoke Concord.

It is a misunderstanding of aggression mechanics.

You got baited and you took the bait.

If you don't mind me asking, what is the purpose of the MTU when you're mining?

They use it like miners used to use Jetcans.

Only MTU has a tractor to suck up jetcans.

MTU for CSM.

CCP determines can flipping is griefing.

CCP removes can flipping.

CCP returns can flipping under new mechanic.

Sounds about right.

Some people don't get jokes straight away. Like autistic people, such as myself. But please, be a **** about it, this is EVE after all.

Unfortunately this is a tactic being done by many now in high sec. Mission runners are also having their mobile tractor units shot and destroyed, and then if they attack the culprit they will be killed sometimes losing a very expensive ship. Beware it's hell out there!

I read the OP and I was honestly disgusted.

The depravity, perfidy, and sloth of highsec knows no bounds.
