how bad is trashing standings with main factions of the game?

In case your unaware .. data centers can give a one off, once only massive boost to faction standings ... though buying some of the rarer tags on market can cost a lot of ISK.

The tags for different agents vary from a few hundred thousand for some agents through to hundreds of millions for those agents with rare tags.

Some agents give us much as 8.75% faction standing which if your on -0.5 would take you up by (1.5 * 0.875) = 0.13 to a new standing of -0.37 in one hit.

Of course you need to get your standing under 0.5 to be able to get to the data centers safely in the first place :D Also if your considering the more expensive tags I would seriously suggest either a covops boat or very well tanked BS/freighter when delivering them, gankers camping the data centers looking for small ships with several hundred mill of tags are a distinct possibility.
