Cant' get the patch.

Well if you're talking about the one previously posted in this thread then its probably out of date. Unless you know of a link she has posted elsewhere? In which case can you point me there?

As for any patch file manually downloaded I just shove it in 'eve' folder main game directory and it sorts it all out fine.



I put it there, still no luck, I have 9 paid subs and I plex 4 more chars that I plex and CCP cant be arsed to get back to me to help.

Midori I put the file in to my eve folder. so essentially for me it was C:>Program Files (x86).>CCP>EVE

I had to use the executable in the bin folder. to get the game going, the launcher has been kicking my ass lately.

Cannot get the patch. Download stops at 25% with error message

Steam account.

Tried the following - did not work out:

Importing manually downloaded patch
Deleting and re-installing launcher
Deleting and re-installing the game
Running repair tool - finishes with an error

Ticket is hanging for couple days already with no responces from the devs. Mb someone had similar issue and can help out?

I get this when I try to Repair. I'm having all sorts of issues. I tried to forklift the launcher from a working machine to this one. The Launcher folder doesn't want to install. Win8 64b. I'm downloading the full offline installer packages right now and am going to try and install to a different directory. Why can't Eve just link us to where the patch files are?! I got to the CDN Patches\Patches URL and do not see a way to download just the patch so I can manually run it and keep using th EXEFILE to run Eve.....

Thanks Almethea, but I can't get it going. I pu tthe patch intot he main Eve folder and ran the exefile.exe, but it restarted the client to apply the patch and failed. I tried the repair for the 37th time, it 'completed' but shows an error popup after saying there were problems. The eve.exe does nothing. The launcher won't even load now, and it was working this morning (although it was getting errors too, so I still can't run Eve).

This is getting ridiculous. Hasn't this game been around 10 years? That presumes the people running it know how to write code. But something as simple as a patch/launcher is too much?! Will I need to download the full offline installer for the third time and completely re-install? My support ticket is probably sitting in a Q hundreds long......

I'm having the same issues, if not worse. I have 3 accounts, one of which is through Steam. I have tried uninstalling and re-downloading the client, but it won't even install. It looks like its working, then it "completes" fast and says "failed". So after realizing i just deleted EVE off my computer and now can not get it back, I searched through Steam and found the launcher that i downloaded from it. Still, not working. So I came here and saw everyone saying, "use the exefile.exe"... So, I did that. And to my dismay, that isn't working either. It opens and gives a reminder of the simple days of the old launcher. BUT! every time I open it, it automatically prompts me that there's an update. NO MATTER if you press "ok" or try to close the box, IT WILL AUTOMATICALLY CLOSE AND START THE CLIENT UPDATE. THUS, CLOSING THE ENTIRE WINDOW AND TAKING YOU BACK TO THE CLIENT, which still fails to connect to the server and update. So... What should I do?


P.S. Alert on failed client update says something along the lines of, "unable to connect to server. Unable to update patch from:
http://cdn1.eveonline.com/681196/RepairData_681196.dat"

Tuk, all I could suggest is to use the offline installer for Eve, and install it to a custom location, NOT the default one. Also, do not let it 'clean' the installation files afterward, in case you need them again.

The solution to my problem was to copy the entire Eve folder off a working computer and copy it to a new location on the new computer. Such a pain. CCP has really let us down here.

I agree. A 10 year old running game, and the developers still can't get it right or fix it? Honestly, I just started using the Exefile.exe, it works. And it's simple. No launcher, no stupid ads or promotional propaganda. Just sign in and go. I got tired of trying to fix the launcher and having it reload the same damn patch every time I open it, and then fail most times. So ya, I just opens that .exe file and go. Until CCP messes THAT up too, that's what I'll be doing from now on.

I was able to patch my client to rubicon 1.1 without problem :
- i was outside all the morning so i havent launch the game
- i tried to patch and Shocked it's worked

The launcher updated to Rubicon 1.1 yesterday with no problem, which really surprised me! But today with the 1.1.1 (709728) patch not so much. Back to exception errors; it seems to me that with as many problems as we're having with the launcher updating/applying patches that CCP would assign a team to get to the bottom of it and correct it! Or at the very least give us another avenue to download and apply the patch rather than downloading the complete program from the offline installer each time a small patch is released!
I check this forum every time a patch is released because Almathea provides the alternate path which works every time. She needs to be on the payroll!
