Yes there are..the situation in Belgrade is even worse, and this year, gay pride gathering was even banned by authorities, cause police couldn't guarantee the safety of participants.

Imo, dev in question should report in this thread and clarify things.

As for "Supergay Fairy" ... it was probably just someone stuck for a name and thought it was funny for half a minute. I doubt they meant anything malicious about. Probably based it off how character ended up looking or something.

Heck, he could be teased around the office, so instead of shying from it he embraces the role and doesn't consider how you might react to it.

... but there are bigger issues in the world to get your knickers in a twist over and if you pick on ever small thing, you will just annoy people and make them walk on egg shells. Just messes things up doing that.

The terms are in of themselves derogatory and offensive in nature.

These terms perpetuates the misconception that being homosexual is synonymous with being effeminate and flamboyant. This is simply incorrect as not all homosexuals fit the stereotypes these terms conjure up.

1. If the first point was true, why are people not allowed to make use of racial slurs that they might use amongst their peers? It is because they are known to cause offence and excuses like you are trying to use to justify the use of denigrating language are exactly those used by people that wish to spread hatred.

2. Why do you have to make a judgement call about a players sexuality? How is it relevant to the game?

I don't usually respond to alts since 99% of the time they are worthless trolls but I have to point out I am not talking about any individuals here. If you care to reread my original post you will realise I am talking about corporate culture and it's impact on the community.
