384 tank vs Serp

Scourge Fury - 478 DPS @ 44km
Scourge Precision - 354 DPS @ 29km

I'm currently running this Tengu in Serpentis Null. I love the tank and everything runs perma. Only issue is it feels like sites take a ridiculously long time to run. Any suggestions to help with the DPS output?

Your DPS with HML is low, what are your missile and sub system skills at?

You are also over done on cap, go with range (if switching to HAMS) and application rigs.

All sub skills to 4. All missile skills to 4 or 5. the Cap is stable at 40% with everything on so i can be semi-afk on this account.

You listed your damage and ranges with precision and rage which is a mix of HML and HAM. Your ranges are woeful for HML and your DPS is woeful for HAM... Your skills are not at 4-5 or you mixed up fits.

Get Caldari Offensive sub system to V, that should boost you DPS to 528 with HML (much higher with HAMs) and if you switch for DC2 for a 4th BCS you should be at 560.

With HAMs and 3x BCS: ~730 DPS with same skills (Offensive subsystem V, rest at Iv), with 4x it should be ~775

- don't fit invuls because you should be tanking therm/kin, no need for EM/explosive. By fitting kin/therm hardeners you get more tank with less cap use and you can even opt for named hardeners STILL have more Serpentis tank and use even less cap

- drop the CCC rigs in favour of rigors, they massively increase your applied dps. Those rigors also "take over" from the painter meaning there's less interaction needed (because cycling a painter with your missiles is a *****)

i personally hate small booster fits (especially non-deadspace ones), but if you want a t2 tengu fit with HMLS, a small booster and mwd, then this is the way to go.

[Tengu, t2 HML ratting, small t2 booster]
Ballistic Control System II
Ballistic Control System II
Ballistic Control System II
Ballistic Control System II

Experimental 10MN Microwarpdrive I
Small Shield Booster II
Adaptive Invulnerability Field II (chose because it uses less CPU and you have extra capacitor)
Dread Guristas Thermic Dissipation Field
Dread Guristas Kinetic Deflection Field (cheap, chosen for cpu and cap savings. Consider these the MINIMUM)
Eutectic Capacitor Charge Array (chosen for cpu savings)

Heavy Missile Launcher II, Scourge Fury Heavy Missile
Heavy Missile Launcher II, Scourge Fury Heavy Missile
Heavy Missile Launcher II, Scourge Fury Heavy Missile
Heavy Missile Launcher II, Scourge Fury Heavy Missile
Heavy Missile Launcher II, Scourge Fury Heavy Missile
Heavy Missile Launcher II, Scourge Fury Heavy Missile

Medium Warhead Rigor Catalyst II
Medium Warhead Rigor Catalyst II
Medium Anti-EM Screen Reinforcer II (another rigor would kill the cpu, you can put something else here)

Tengu Offensive - Accelerated Ejection Bay
Tengu Defensive - Amplification Node
Tengu Electronics - Dissolution Sequencer
Tengu Engineering - Augmented Capacitor Reservoir
Tengu Propulsion - Intercalated Nanofibers

Its easier to fit an AB but its not necessary for tanking purposes. you save a huge amount of CPU as well with faction damage mods. For ratting, the 4th damage mod really helps, since tanking will be trivial. The omni resists are nice but generally unnecessary, I added them as i couldn't put anything better on this setup. a t2 boost amp is generally better than a t2 invuln in terms of sustained tank.

The fourth damage mod is 5% additional dps. You make sacrifices elsewhere in the fit for it, but those things you sacrifice won't be hurting the bottom line at all. This should easily clear and permatank any serp/guristas anomaly with the best possible speed from HMLs, unless you were to upgrade the fit elsewhere and get a 3rd rigor.
