Will the following setup destroy an untanked Hulk in a 0.6 system ? :

Catalyst:

Anode light neutron particle cannon I x8.
Federation navy antimatter charge small.

Initiated harmonic warp scrambler I
Prototype sensor booster
Scan resolution script

Magnetic Field Stabilizer II x2.
Magnetic Vortex Stabilizer I x1.

Small hybrid collision accelerator I
Small hybrid burst aerator I

Skills:

Relevant CPU/PG skills etc to enable fittings.

Gunnery V
Motion Prediction III
Rapid Firing V
Sharpshooter IV
Small Hybrid Turret V
Surgical Strike IV
Trajectory Analysis III

Thermodynamics skill to enable further 15% increase in damage from overloading gun rack.

Or would T2 guns & T2 ammo be required to do the job? I am not interested in podding the target - just destroying their ship/s.

Untanked, yeah that probably do it in a 0.5 maybe 0.6. If they have so much as a DCU tho you're boned.

Have fun o/

I don't have eft here, what is your dps with that fit? My complete bullshit estimate is 500 dps to kill an anti tanked (cargo expander fit) hulk assuming that you pre-spawn concord in 0.5 space. We usually use two gankers for most ganks to be on the safe side, unless we're using 700 dps fits.

Personally I wouldn't waste t2 on an untanked hulk, replace with meta 4, should be just as good.

Dumbing down of Eve Online will result in it's destruction...

Ya, but meta 4 is often more expensive than t2. For a ship you know is going to be blown up, I'd say go t2 if you can fit it, or whichever is cheaper.

My choice of pronouns is based on your avatar. Even if I know what is behind the avatar.

Meta 4 guns approximately the same price as the T2 ones. Main difference is additional skill needing to be trained. I think I am going to train that skill anyway though. Big smile

453 I think on meta 3 guns atm. Bit more training on skills needed. But add overheating the gun rack and it's 520 atm.

A hulk is incredibly easy to burn with just one catalyst in a 0.5, get an implant as well if you want to squeeze out 3% or 5% more dps from the turrets, and obviously overheat. You should be hitting at least 700 DPS - I've been able to solo mackinaws with a catalyst so you won't have any issues with a hulk.

Since you're only hitting about 550 DPS, put a 3rd magstab in and drop that vortex stab, not sure what the point in having that is.
