Sounds like a module you would use to hide fleets of ships, especially capitals from dscan.

If they were hiding one afk ship, the deployable structure is actually easier to scan with probes so I don't see any problems here.

yeah ... though presumably if you light a cyno inside the 30km radius the cyno itself will still show up.

I assume the main use for this module will be as a diversion ... pop 20 or 30 of these into a threatened system and laugh while people scurry around attempting to set up defences in a system you are not even interested in.

In theory half a dozen people with alts could trick an entire alliance onto standby if they were clever enough going about it :D

It seems it might be a nerf to small gangs who can now be baited by large ones into these traps.

Should work equally well on the defensive. Dunno about you, but if I lead a fleet into a system, and find a dozen or so blind spots, I'm going to be spending some time figuring out WTF is hiding, if I can. More gray hair for the FCs. Big smile

Tell someone you love them today, because life is short. But scream it at them in Esperanto, because life is also terrifying and confusing.

tldr; an ancorable module that makes almost evrything next to it imune to dscan. HOW FUN EH! sound like troll?? NOPE, ITS OFICIAL BY CCP FOZIE LOLOLO

n e way, imma go enjoy the twilight days of playable eve. have fun guys

The deployable can be scanned down. What exactly is the problem again? Personally I think these things will be borderline useless with their 2 hour lifespan and one-time use.

Except for the fact that this module effectively eliminates every 'cloaked scout' shiptype apart from nullified probing t3s...

Sorry, I don't follow your logic on this.

How does it eliminate covert ops/cloaked scouts exactly?

dragbubble(with a side of decloaking crap) + sentry drone = dead scout

That is more an issue of drag bubbles + littering space to decloak. Not of the MSI.

Obligatory "EvE is Dying" post inserted here.

Also, nerf afk cloaking stealth thread post.

Be interesting to see if you can do it solo ...

1. Undock warp to a safe spot and light cyno
2. Drop cloaky unit
3. Eject from ship and pod express back to station or just dock in the pod
4. grab new cyno capable ship and cloaky unit
5. Rinse and repeat

Will sorta depend on how the cyno rules work.

You can't eject from a ship with a lit cyno.

Enjoying the rain today? ;)

That doesn't eliminate the ships, only the weak scout pilots.

I have no problem with that. A good scout won't be caught this way very often. Occasionally maybe because you can't plan for everything, but in general, this won't be a problem for competent scouts and that sort of stupidity can happen anywhere. It has nothing to do with this specific module.

And a not stupid scout is sitting in something that is nullified and cloaked to avoid getting dragged in bubbles and thats where the circle closes.
