Corp logos, please?

Can we please have custom oog corp logos?

I understand they cannot just be hashed together by the client on demand like current corp logo system, but i'm sure modern storage devices/servers can handle it.

Well, there goes the new corporate logo for 'The Troll Bridge'. I better upload the picture anyways, never know if it will change CCP's mind.

Wasn't TTP (Time To Penis - the minimum time between a feature being introduced and one of the players figuring how to use it to make a schlong) already discussed at Fanfest anyway?

Plus, tbh, simple filtering would do, along with some minimum requirements for the corp to be eligible for having your own logo. Say, 1 year of continued existence? Since corp/alliance logos seem to be fetched and cached when you show info on property of said corp/alliance or search for it, I assume this limitation comes from the amount of available space on the servers.

Said amount has increased a lot since the system was introduced, with terabyte storage available for home user easily (and for low price). That said it's unlikely to happen, they may improve the existing logo system but I doubt they'll give players full customization like the alliance thing.

You could limit it to pixel art.

Seeing as people accomplish amazing detail with the use of POS modules, definitely. Still, just have someone review the logos and put a minimum time existed/members present requirement on corps to submit, just like it is with alliances nowadays to throttle the amount of submits.

For a developer that actively encourages game play behavior like piracy, scamming, lying, spying, infiltration, executions, large scale war, murder and mayhem, extortion and flat out thievery... I fail to see why nudity is the moral line that must not be crossed.

Seems like a drop in the ocean given their current convictions...

No. Corps come and go like the hookers in my life...but alliances have a higher setup cost (1 b) and don't come and go as frequently. The staffing to vet and review all corp logo submissions would be heinous.

I would rather just have my alliance logo on the side of my ships, as well as some kind of KB counter icons....like a skull every 100 kills or so :)

..bit I digress.

Guide to doing Corp logos without drama.

1 - CCP create a set of rules for how the logos must be designed
2 - CCP produce a dozen different designs as examples
3 - Corps make their logos
4 - Corp send Logo to CCP along with 2 PLEX fee.
5 - CCP acecepts or rejects Logo.
6 - if accepted then allow in game


CCP would be making about £30 per application. This should be plenty to cover the wage of someone to vet the applications. If you want to send a **** pick, thats fine. One CCP member of staff will see it for 30 seconds while rejecting the logo and you just paid them £30 for doing it.

I'm sure CCP wants to waste a few TB of storage space for a bunch three man corps who define themselves entirely through anime pictures, I'm all for this.

OOG, "out of game" (e.g. on your corporation forums), you're free to use whatever logo you choose for your corporation.

I just want more options in the existing corp logo creation. It's far far to limiting and we end up with tons of corps with identical logo's. No room for creativity or uniqueness.
More images to choose from and maybe a few more layers would be fantastic.
