I would like to add a movement for ventriloquist like control on these friends so that interaction will be less like talking to a rock like it curretly is.

It may well have died. That has not stopped it sticking around, showing up to make you feel good every now and again.

I second that motion... You guys should sticky this thread so it can be preserved for future generations.

Should this be implemented, would CCP have a crowdsource item creation contest? I forsee the need for thousands of things to be designed, and given decent enough guidelines, myself and many people I know can put out models by the dozen, UV unwrapped and textured, etc.

Getting everyones cold friends clothes, display space and extras is going to take a lot of work, but 3d modeling isn't really that hard, once people wrap their heads around it. and that's really all it would be, modeling props. You'd still have to do clothes in house, cause that would be a nightmare to vet and bug check all the clothing submissions( not to mention the low taste many dungeon dwelling capsuleers are notorious for), I mean you know a buttless furry suit would be in there and no one should be exposed to that kind of thing.

But props and interior designs of captains quarters are so easy that anyone can output them. But its not just that, you could also contestsource the lighting after you make your choices of interior and furniture designs. and texturing could be a coloring contest.

Why destroy perfectly good artists egos to make trivial crap ,like a fake beach background to send the corpses original owner a "wish you were here" evemailable postcard, or a fine selection of toilets for symbolic corpse swirlies?

Yes lots of trash will come in, will flood in if I'm involved, but you'll get some incredible stuff too, and it won't all be loony. Some of it at least.

Also, there could ( and should ) be premium items, and just like the companions, lots of furniture you would find lying around in wrecks, perhaps as salvage, perhaps as loot. ignore the stains.
