A single player being able to disband an alliance is illogical; got a solution.

Last thread was closed as they called it a rant. This will be straight forward.

In it's current state a single player with director roles in the executor corp can disband an alliance. An alliance however is many times intended for sharing power and wealth amongst members evenly. Only sometimes is an alliance actually a supercorp. Thus, it becomes most logical to divide alliances into two types:

1) Supercorps. Similar to how it's setup today, one corp in the alliance has control over most facets and directors within that corp can close the alliance at their own will.

2) Cooperatives. Similar to how null-sec entities should be setup, no single corp in the alliance has any special privileges. Everything from alliance membership to the closing of the alliance is decided by popular vote. Voting strength of each corp is decided (and set in stone) when said corp joins the alliance.

This will allow null-sec entities to survive when a single leader decided he's had enough and wants to cause some damage before leaving.

Cooperatives containing thousands of members should not be at the whims of individuals. Please change this CCP.

I pressed the button to look at the large version of the OP's portrait, and shortly afterwards regretted that decision.

Just the facts.

Get over it and be careful who is given power in the Alliance.

The current mechanism is part of EvE history and shouldn't be changed. Having these mechanisms is a constant reminder to be careful about the way you play - trust no-one, not even yourself.

If you want a super corp, make it actually a super corp? Corps can hold thousands of players, stop being lazy and actually invest some training into your corp.

This is a nonsensical post.

The Plague is a long part of human history. It could be a careful remainder about not keeping black rats as pets....

Broken is broken, because the devs ignore broken mechanics for years doesn't mean they shouldn't be fixed.

Corporations could be more robust and more in-line with how corporations work in real life. A CEO is selected by a board of directors. A disbanding is a decision of a majority of directors + the CEO (those online in the last x period). Even one dissenter means no disbanding.

Additionally, anyone not online in the last 90 days has roles auto-dropped

haha i just looked at a larger version of your avatar, i wonder what you saw just as that picture was taken, it looks like you saw something that cannot be unseen :P

On the subject of alliances, working as intended, if people decide they want to disband something like they they should be freely allowed to do so, in your example its entirely possible for an alliance containing an even number of corps to have votes end up in a tie in which case nothing would happen, this veto power makes it so you can just do what you want to do when you want to do it :)

Which alliance did you lose out of interest :P
