Hello friends and minnies.
I've been on a break from Eve for about a year and probably coming back. For now I just activated my alt to do some casual trading.
Anyways, since I haven't played for 2 expansions I just wanted to know has there been any major shifts in the FW/Lowsec "meta" during 2013 that I should be aware of?

Oh, and has anything been done about OGBs yet? I recall there was some talk about nerfing it.

OGB have not been transformed in on grid boosters as of yet, but still intended.

Now command ships have stronger bonuses than t3, but on overall all link bonuses are a bit weaker.

Stabs and cloack is pretty much the new meta. Apart from that..nothing much changed. People still kite,people still kite while using ogb's and people still blob other people just to feel leet and show you they have more pvp skills then you do.

In fact,i would say nothing really changed at all. Have fun

This maybe true but with the new navy mindlinks its nt that far from what it was. The real major changes to boosts are they cannot be activated from behind a pos shield

Sounds about what it was before I left. I'm guessing kitey condors/hookbills still run with double damps and half of the other frigs have a TD. Big smile

Yes it is, actually. Kiting just implies you are positioning yourself to project your damage while mitigating the opponent's damage. The easiest way to kite is to just sit way off from optimal/falloff with a long range turret or missile boat at disruptor range. Kiting can and still does happen within scram range but it takes skill, which is why few people talk about it.

Yeah, new meta is don't engage QCATS unless you outnumber us at least 5 to 1. Up from 3 to 1 the year before...
