Apparently the US considers crowdfunding to be an act of war and is going to treat it as such:

As far as crowdfunding in the US goes, if this passes it will most likely simply die off. Here's hoping that the portals move to other countries.

If you do things right, people won't be sure you've done anything at all...

Product/Service introduced that threatens rich-lazy people's monopoly within a amrket (IE, independent developers/inventers, etc), so their entire source of living is nerfed into illegality?

not new, welcome to America last ~100 years, moving to somewhere else as soon as i finish college.

hmm ... this is ... quite disturbing.

I am a full time advocate of crowdfunding, since its my last fortress of entertainment.

I stopped giving money to certain industries after crowdfunding became possible.

Mostly because in a sea of utter garbage you could actually find awesome gems, instead of the utter Dead Sea of Trash most industries produce these days.

This bears special observance.
