Navigating your way through wormhole space can be tricky. It's easy to get lost and who knows what you'll be jumping into? Luckily, for those intrepid adventurers who take the risk and jump in, there's a handy tool to help them figure out what's waiting for them. The Staticmapper tool has been a vital part of wormhole exploration almost since the day Apocrypha launched.

In the 1st Community Spotlight of 2014, we take a look at its past, present, and future!

Staticmapper is a great site indeed :) But is there any specific reason not to talk about wormhol.es ? Big smile It may be a bit younger, but it offers a widely more developped array of informations !

Staticmapper is currently undergoing a total redevelopment and I am addressing a lot of the missing features that newer sites have added recently. Due to my other commitments with the industrial tracker and RL work I've not had the time to put into staticmapper until now. I have however released an alpha version of the new site template with some search functionality as described here.

Over the next few weeks more advanced features will be added. I have to admit that the site you mentioned has some nice features and I am working on some algorithms to analyse the zkillboard api for information such as possible holder information and recent kills, etc.
