Hello. I have a good PC (300+ fps in game), i want to limit FPS to 120. Any idea how can i do it? I dont want to limit it with a vsync (60fps too low). Thank you.

P.S. Currently i using Riva Tunner, to limit FPS, but this is pretty unstable. Trying to find the way, how to limit it in game, without alternative software.

Why would you want to do this?. Normally you would either set it low (vsync/adaptive or interval settings). Why do you want 120 FPS?.

vsync just syncs your FPS in accordance to your monitors refresh rate.

The question is not WHY, the question is about "how".

Great attitude to have. Your question is just stupid, why would someone want to LIMIT the FPS to a certain number. vsync and other options have been designed to be used as if.

"how" has been already answered by your own thread... use a 3rd party tool. I would go through the hassle of getting a 'let me google it for you' link, but I can't be bothered.

P.S - When you end up being destroyed or podded due to your client crashing due to a 3rd party tool, I hope CCP do a search and find this thread :)

Also.. you should read the forum rules to ensure your threads do not get locked

I know how to do this with vsync, or third party tools. The question is can it be availible in eve client (like in Counter strike we have a command: "fps_max X"). Maybe the same command be in EVE.. idk.

As far as I know and from previous threads asking the same thing there is no way for EVE to do this (other than Interval One and vsync as we have already discussed).

If it is something you think EVE should have then you can post a thread in the 'Features & Ideas Discussion', along with a description of why and what benefits it would provide to EVE.

Not everyone wants the input lag vsync brings, some people also like to limit to certain levels so they get playable framerates without their card working too hard which can produce extra heat and/or coil whine if the game is rendering too fast (200+ fps).

@OP - if you use an nVidia card nvinspector can be used to set per application frame rate limits.
